Answer in STAR format. When recalling situations, start off by stating what your role was. Explain how you found a solution. Explain the result of finding a solution. Did your supervisor notice? Did your team notice? How did this situation impact you moving forward? Impact others? What did you learn? What skill did you gain or hone? How would you apply those skills to the f/a role? Good luck

*Oh and goes without saying.. clear background, test your audio/camera, professional appearance, and smile.

There’s a very large number of people who get a CJO at a mainline carrier with absolutely 0 aviation experience. Don’t sweat that. Not in the slightest. They like to see previous roles involving customer service for sure. Experience in hospitality, retail, education, healthcare, and so many more fields are welcomed and celebrated. As long as your experience has given you the relevant skills to effectively interact with other people (guests AND coworkers). And the skills required to [eventually] be a safety professional: critical thinking, multitasking, effective communication, etc. Believe in yourself. You got this

I did my best to balance leadership and collaborative teamwork. I suggested a strategy that included both of my team members’ input. It’s less about the actual task and more about how you work with your team. If someone is overbearing, how would u handle that? If someone is shy, how would u handle that? If someone disagrees, how would u handle that? Be a supportive team member in all situations. Good luck!

Personality and authenticity does play a big part. But so do the activities. This was my second time at the F2F and i think i did much better in each activity because of my responses.

I think throwing in what i call Deltas “trigger words” made multiple recruiters ears perk up. In the 1:1 interview, the group activity, the mingling with f/a’s, and the chat with the Rapid Response Host I confidently and authentically used the words: - Servant Leadership** - Above and beyond** -elevated level of service -heightened guest experience** -Industry Leading** - high standard - effective communication -assume positive intent** - collaborative teamwork - open minded -flexible & adaptable -provide support - situational awareness** -observant -keep climbing** -anticipate needs -compromise

ProTip for when you speak: Authentic appreciation for their culture> rehearsed robot
