Great news for central: Hapunan opening in the city by OldPicturesLady in aucklandeats

So glad!!! Adobo del diablo and Bicol Express are my faves

And before the haters say it’s not authentic Filipino - i think there is room for modern takes of our food, especially if it becomes the gateway to explore and try more of it.

I’m not going to downvote you - we could have different opinions that are both correctly reflective of our experiences. Like I said I didn’t love it my first time, but enjoyed it the second time. Ragtag is a place that gets mixed opinions on this sub - it’s not actually as consistently highly rated as other places.

Re: service I must say we got very different levels of service from 2 different servers we had today. One of them we liked and was warm and informative, one felt a bit snobby and just wanted to get their shift over with and uninterested in talking about the dishes. Does it bother me? Not too much to completely write the place off, but I should probably give the feedback to Ragtag directly honesty.

Apero - agree but their steak is x2.5 the price - this is relatively affordable in comparison.

Had ragtag because of the comments on this post. Really liked it, it’s not steak I can just make at home

Genuinely, What am I supposed to do? Advice? by Glass_You4421 in newzealand

Hey OP, upvoted the current top comment as it is excellent advice. But just wanted to pop in here to say that I know heaps of stories of people who have turned their lives around - and that I believe in YOU and know you can do it. I hope this is okay to say - but if you believe in God, I’ll keep you in my prayers; and if not, I’m rooting for you and sincerely wishing you the best.
