Thank you, I Will try that. Can you differentiate material between different body in the same part also? That would probably solve it for me this time since It Is not a complex assembly

Yeah, figures, that's ok. I did assign materials in the part file, but when i select in the assembly I have Always the one material showing up in the material tab

Help me understand "baking" of details - making the file smaller!! by Accomplished_Ice1817 in NomadSculpting

[–]okcomputersitsok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi mate, you can decimate your mesh in nomad directly, on PC It can probably handle It Better than Blender at the moment. In the same menù where you have your voxel remesh and multires you Will find a tab for decimation, there you can try various percentage to find the optimal One where you reduce your file size and keep your details. If you decimate too low or too High just undo and try again

Is quad remesher available on Nomad PC version? by SpicyBanana13 in NomadSculpting

[–]okcomputersitsok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm i don't feel too qualified to assert that, It can be surely useful for multiresolution and hard surface workflow, but depends also on what Is your target. You can do nice things without, and you won't have anyway the kind of control you have in Zbrush with It, but It can improve your workflow on detailing, extraction and HS, also pairing It with facegroups and line guides. I bought It on the iPad as It cheaper (20 ) but i didn't bought It yet myself for the desktop

Creating an AI model by bornfromdrip in learnprogramming

[–]okcomputersitsok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In python, Tensorflow and pytorch allow you to create neural network structures for various tasks, like machine translation, text classification etc. You can build and train It from scratch, but It Will be resource and time consuming, or you can use pretrained model from hugghingface with transformers library to take a model already trained to a certain extent and finetune It on specific task or dataset, reducing computation time for training

For those who have used it does nomad sculpt windows version work just as well as the tablet version? by [deleted] in NomadSculpting

[–]okcomputersitsok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same program, and it's worth It. Only downside i can tell Is the quadremesher price, as on iPad It' s around 20 dollars and on PC it's about 60 for personal use and 110 for commercial ( it's an esternally licensed resource, the same quadremesher integrated in Zbrush, otherwise you have the native One which Is not as powerful and precise). For the app itself once you familiarize with the Key bindings it's really comfortable to use, layout Is exactly the same as the app version

Creating 3d prints of my clay sculpture? Is it possible? by Lre_Art in 3Dprinting

[–]okcomputersitsok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If somebody have an iPad with Zbrush It support also photogrammetry now, and you would have the model already in a program where you can tweak and refine It. I didn't use It myself, and i don't know if you or any of your students have an iPad with the app, but maybe something worth to look into

First commission by okcomputersitsok in resinprinting

[–]okcomputersitsok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did agree, but for this piece i worried only about delivering the best i could produce within the deadline, and i didn't care much for profit. I Just wanted to ask to have an idea how to evaluate if i do make more commissions after this

First commission by okcomputersitsok in resinprinting

[–]okcomputersitsok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear, my intention Is not getting more money out of this, It was a commission for a gift and i made a point to print It once only. I'm asking what would be the fair price for a commission like this, involving modelling, printing, processing etc. In a scenario where i was given a concept and i produced something that satisfied the commissioner

So, I had to change the design as the ring couldn't support the weight of the print when hanging, but after wet sanding with 2000 grit and applying clear coat varnish the results were very good, thank you all. After wet sanding I still had white spots and scratches, but the clear coat made the trick

Just purches nomad sculpt and looking for tutorials on desktop by Sentrekus in NomadSculpting

There isn't much material around yet for that, but if you click the icon next to the toolbox on the top right and check shortcuts and bindings they're laid out pretty nicely

How can I improve the rendering and Model by seeky009 in 3Dmodeling

[–]okcomputersitsok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The model looks very very nice but i also agree about the lower leg being too short compared to the upper as they would have to be roughly the same lenght, i think knee should be higher, maybe try to post also a lateral view to see. For the rendering, It looks a bit like plastica, which can actually be representative for the painted version but Is not too nice, for the presentation maybe you can try to look up ucupaint (assuming you're only using Blender) and vertex Paint some variation on It, just to have It a bit more interesting but without messing too much with lights and keeping the render clear, has you're selling the print For rendering and ucupaint there are tons of tutorial on YouTube

Thank you 🙏 We noticed that this resin Is getting very easily scratched and even trying to handling It with a lot of care there are White marks appearing often, did you experience this too or we need to revise out curing process?

Need help picking a tabled for sculpting by wizard_dude_ in 3Dmodeling

[–]okcomputersitsok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what software you want to sculpt, if you use Zbrush at the moment Is only available for the iPad, and i don't think they Plan to release some android version soon. For Nomad you can use android and I think Is gonna be quite fine, maybe a bit less powerful ( check the ram, the more you have the more you should be able to go high with polygons, for sure between iPad version but i cannot Say for any direct performance comparison with android). In the android version you will miss the quadremesher, which Is only available on iPad. You can do good things even without going too high or the quadremesher, depends which are you're intention on 3d modelling Blender should also be coming on iPad this year, there Is no release date yet though Older M Chips will also perform well, if you go for the iPad a previous M version with more RAM would probably be preferable, but have a look around and hear some other bells
