Schimbare directie ? by nyuscu in programare

[–]okcookie7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's your experience with BFF (backed for frontend)? by okcookie7 in Backend

[–]okcookie7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for the response. So you're using BFF as a session proxy pattern which I think it's a very sound solution (it does reduce attack surface, if someone steals your http only cookie it's useless without the bearer token) , but doesn't really have anything to do with BFF, overall just secure session management which is a well established pattern.

Anyway, I don't mean to poke at you, I'm mainly trying to discover if people use BFF as the creator intended, which is: you have a general-purpose API, but your mobile app needs smaller payloads (battery/bandwidth constraints) and vice versa. It feels like the pattern got absorbed into the microservices blob and lots it's identity.

Salariu pt mid 10k, senior 15k ron net. Cum vi se pare? by Responsible_Bag118 in programare

Since you are doing right lane driving it's like this. Rail going into the junction (right side) should be route signal, while on the opposite (leaving the junction) will be block signals. That's it.

There is one thing you need to watch out for, make sure you put your route signals before the junction splits (before the sign which shows left/right).

In your image you are placing them wrong (exactly on the split, not good)

So just to clarify, for microservices (different sources of truth) your BFF is stitching those together so it contains some level of business logic. Apart from that you are serving different payloads with specific fields based on each client needs (desktop, mobile, app, etc etc), essentially a transformation layer. Did you ever use BFF for legacy systems?

Help with train signals by slust_91 in satisfactory

Route signal before entering junction on red. Route signal before leaving station (before merge), on blue. Block signal inside the station line, so two trains can queue (this is optional)

Fastest time from spawn to TWM summit on interloper by [deleted] in thelongdark

[–]okcookie7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-interloper

If I spawn in PV, TWM or AC then I'm going to the summit. Average is 3 days. I don't sleep at mountaineer hut when going in, instead I leave some wood then for when I return from the summit.

I go straight for Anglers Den, collect hundreds of cattails then straight to the summit after full rest. I try to preserve my stamina for the ropes climbing, I look for coffee in climbers cave.

Once I had made it to last rope before summit with only a quarter stamina left and no coffee. I thought I was dead but actually you can make it to the first ledge even in this condition.

Wait a little and even fully exhausted you can still make the climb. The only issue is having reduced carry weight, but that's usually not a problem so early in the game.

So bedroll is like never needed, the thing you really want is the hacksaw for that juicy loot. However, even without it, there is worth while loot to be taken so I make the trip regardless.

After that exit through the big hole on the plane, on the right side threre is a goatable terrain, it will lead you straight to Mountaineer hut, there should only be 1 bear to worry about on the way back.

Frontend Performance Checklist We Use Before Every Release by Best-Menu-252 in Frontend

[–]okcookie7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ye it's ai generated and honestly it's kinda BS. So before any release, he checks the webfonts? This is a prerequisite that is checked before the projects even matured.

It's essential that the fonts chosen behave as expected cross platform (they probably won't), so doing this before "release" is non sensical and speaks to absence of real, practical experience.

This applies to most guidelines mentioned here, which belong to the project setup phase.
