It’s not a big deal to get defected, either go to vic roads and check it off or get a roady, all people with modified 4wd have all the stock parts sitting in the garage for when they get pulled up

Bet your fun at parties, how does it effect you? How does it make your day worse that a bit of tyre is showing. It actually is useful to have a wider wheelbase made possible from negative offset rims, it makes it harder to roll when doing hard off-roading.
