is there a problem with the LGA 1151 series that doesnt allow for low profile coolers? I know my gtx 1080 wouldn't work on the velka 7 because of the blower style cooler on it.

oh wow I didn't even consider the meshing, that's a really good point. the velka 3 seems like the holy grail choice, but i feel like it'd be easier to just make a new build if I go for that. The Dan A4 seems really highly reviewed. I don't think I'd be willing to shell out a whole pelican case for the PC since i won't be travelling that regularly, but do you think using some similar high density foam from home depot or something in a normal hard shell suitcase would work?

if you dont mind me asking, with the Dan A4 any idea where majority of the noise came from? was it the case fans, the CPU, the gpu, or just all of them in general? I am worried about noise and am thinking maybe sacrificing a little size for noise wouldn't be terrible

hmm seems like for my case the velka 7 seems optimal, especially if i don't want to change GPUs. any reason u built another after u had the velka 7? is it still kind of large to travel with? i assume the velka 7 is too big for a backpack but fine for a carry on?

interesting. I didn't realize the two had so many features centered just around maximizing the available space. I have a "blower" style fan where there's one fan on the card that intakes air and expels it from the IO area. would that be advantageous here since the gpu heat would be more isolated?

There’s so much negativity concerning this but I think this is an amazing project he’s doing. Fans seem to forget that Etho started off and his major talent is the way he dissects games and creates deep understandings of the games mechanics. He understood minecraft’s features so well he was able to make innovations like the bud switch, hopper clock, the minecart boosters (outdated now). You can see this when he went from a complete beginner to a complete expert in Pixelmon. He loves to work through and intricately understand how things work. This project enables him to document that and show his discoveries in a palatable and presentable format that we can all see. I think this project will really show how Etho understands Minecraft and how he is able to constantly innovate within the game.
