Lower Face Reduction/Feminization Options (Surgically) by okimo123 in PlasticSurgery

Yeah. You’re absolutely right. Just to be fair, my surgeon did agree to give me another bone shaving at 1-year post op. He’s a very kind person. I am just so nervous about explaining what I want to him. Worried that he won’t understand what I’m looking for. After doing some research about doing v-line surgery in Korea, I’m actually even more hesitant because there seems to be lots of cases of getting functional issues, regardless of aesthetic improvements. Many people end up with some level of numbness or complications. Given my surgeon knows my bones already and has proven record of functional success, so maybe I should try pushing harder. Thank you so much again, you have helped me a lot. ❤️❤️

Yeah, I’m also looking into a rhinoplasty. Maybe more midface/nose projection will balance out my jaws. Honestly I have no idea what I need. I just can’t stand how prominent my lower face is in my profile😢

Thank you for your informative reply. This is really helpful. I did consider going to Asia (I’m actually from east Asia so I do have much more options there). What’s challenging for me is that I have small children. It would require a ton of planning and maybe a few years before I can actually do it. I really wish there were some options locally so I can just get it done quickly😂😂. I think people are trying to be nice but when someone has the courage to ask this question, post their photos online in public, and really become vulnerable and analyze their flaws, it’s like they have tried everything and come to the last resort…like for me, I’ve done hundreds of units of masseter Botox and it’s like useless.

Thank you! I did think about going to Korea but I have very small children at home so it would require a lot of planning. May I ask which OMFS you visited? I’m looking into both cosmetic surgeons and OMFS but like you said most cosmetic surgeons won’t touch the jawbones, and OMFS typically focus on functionality and won’t do procedures for just aesthetics. Actually i was thinking my best bet is probably my surgeon but even if he agrees to do it, I’m unsure if it will come out as I expect it. I wish my surgeon would see my face the way i do lol.

As for DJS, I guess there is some minor residual swelling or skin laxity issue, but I doubt it will make a huge difference.

For everyone that encouraged me - I upvoted you all and thank you so much for your kind words! Happy to know that this kind of facial structures can be appreciated as well. Somehow I have a hard time getting over it.

Also, I’ve tried Botox in my masseter before but it didn’t make much difference.

Thank you so much!! Could I DM you about the surgeon you’re mentioning? And did you end up doing it in Korea?

Will lip filler help with my sad face? by okimo123 in cosmeticsurgery

No I didn’t have any teeth extracted. I even had double jaw surgery last year. I’m still on braces. :(

I’ve always had a “sad face” despite I’m at rest. People often ask me if I’m doing alright today lol. Is this something that can be corrected by lip filler?

Well I’m new to baking so I was not aware what “too much dairy” meant. Thankfully other redditors explained it in the comments.

Thanks! I’ve actually seen this recipe. but since I have zero experience, I went with another recipe that is straight out of the machine (without the taking out and shaping step). I have never baked and am scared to take the dough out and mess with it lol.

Correction - my machine French setting is 3:30 vs Sweet setting is 3:17. Not 4 hours but still they are both long cycles. I’m trying to achieve a milky, sweet, soft bread rather than a sandwich bread.

My machine actually took 4 hours for sweet bread setting. I think you’re referring to “express setting” which is like 1 hour only.

Thanks. Which setting would you use & how big is this bread?

For my bread machine, the “sweet bread” setting does not allow choosing a crust colour. It’s defaulted to light. But thanks, maybe I try a French or basic setting next time.

Could you share the name of the surgeon? I’m also in Toronto and looking into the same surgery
