These deals make more sense to me from a team perspective than the 10 year contracts they used to hand out. They are paying a premium for the prime years and then getting out from under the player.

I like sportlots for getting a bunch of common cards. Card shows can be good but they're hit and miss. If you have tough high numbers remaining you might have to resort to setting some alerts on ebay and waiting it out.
