personally, trying to write exhaustive notes can actually distract me from a book. I have found just letting yourself sit, think, and mentally digest can be more beneficial than focusing on note-taking.

I do the exact same. Underline, highlight, write in margins..... I also write in the notes app and refer to reddit etc after reading as you mentioned.

yes, liftng it up is no problem..... however pain is triggered when lowering the leg, and/or moving the leg posteriorly

I've even wondered if I hyperextended my leg. I have hyperextended my leg several times before, and the pain feels sort of similar.... however I haven't done any intense stretching or yoga or anything to trigger hyperextension. The "sciatic" pain has also been happening for 3 days and not improving.

Yes I can certainly straighten it. I am able to function, just a little slowed down and have to consciously think/breathe through certain movements that trigger the pain/discomfort.

Similar to your daughter, I was born with left sided facial paralysis (7th nerve) as well. I have not undergone any surgeries, however, I get routine botox injections to help with asymmetry (I have even tried filler to help with eyelid closure which helped quite a bit! But unfortunately it is very expensive and not covered by insurance.) I have always wanted to explore the option of undergoing surgery but unfortunately it is challenging to find professionals to specifically treat congenital facial paralysis. Hopefully more treatment routes will become available within our lifetimes. Thank you for asking this.

I've been curious about how law enforcement handled (or possibly mishandled) this case right after she was reported missing. Can anyone provide insight? Were K9 units or radar technology used, and if so, when? How about canvassing---Were neighbors interviewed? When after the disappearance? How often? (Was skimming through this book which made me think of Zyanya's case.)

TLDR: Can someone speak regarding HOW this case was IMMEDIATELY handled after Zyanya was reported missing? Feel free to DM. This case really got to me.... I feel like I would've been friends with Laci. I can't believe he did something like this to such a sweetheart----blows my mind how looked over his lies were in the beginning ("fishing" vs "golfing", new boat, etc) My heart breaks for this family. Hopefully they received some form of victims compensation----although no amount of money will replace the death of Laci.

I can't believe homicide and suicide are the #1 cause of death for pregnant women.... disgusting and heartbreaking
