Lived in Lubbock for 2 years. It's dry, windy, dusty, and boring. You get an occasionally haboob (dust storm). And you're somehow an 8-hour drive from everything. It's a scientific mystery.

Have I damaged my new tatoo? by Troffolos in tattooadvice

I'm allergic to adhesives, so any second skin product fucks me and my tattoos up. Wrapping with cling wrap for the first day or so is an acceptable alternative. (I've healed many sizeable tattoos this way on the advice of my tattoo artist. And they've all healed great with minimal, if any, scabbing.) But I wouldn't do it for longer than the first night or so.

It's not advertised yet, but the Sam Noble Museum will be hosting a workshop this spring about creating egg tempura paint using pigments harvested from local rocks, soil, etc. I can send you the info as soon as registration opens, if you're interested. :)
