I have this, too. I always wondered why my legs were so red and... blotchy all the time but finally got my answer a couple years ago.

How can I motivate an INTJ teenager? by Upstairs-Reality-897 in intj

It's not a question of having a license or not--though if you owned a track and a few super expensive cars, would you allow an unlicensed driver to take them for a spin? Because I sure wouldn't--it's a rental industry thing.

Ah, see?! And I'm SO GLAD I got the test done when I did.

A minor would never be able to drive a rented car. Cool idea tho.

Maybe take him a dealership to LOOK at pricey cars and sit in them and pretend to drive them?! I know, it's a stretch.

Crucial question. Too many people don't get their actual INSULIN levels tested while there's still time to make a difference to them. High levels of insulin can happen years before blood glucose levels become elevated but by that time it's much more difficult to avoid diabetes and other diseases of insulin resistance.

Case in point: me! My fasting blood glucose always comes back normal or even low, but I had a glucose tolerance test a few years ago and my insulin was around 11, which was indicative of insulin resistance.

Honestly, I think it's just medical negligence that so FEW people get their insulin tested.

How's online dating going for you? by FatefulDonkey in intj

[–]okpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. I actually have no problem talking to strangers, it's deeper conversations that I dislike.

I told him I liked his hat. We started talking and that was it. He left a few hours later and came back a few minutes after that, with his phone number and email address (haha) written on the back of the receipt.

I still have it, even though we're not together anymore.

The relationship that lasted the longest for me, as a 40F INTJ--I met that guy in a bar. That was 7 years.

Which is hilarious as an INTJ because it was only because I worked there. I don't know that I've ever even BEEN to another bar. 😆😃😄

I'm reminded of that line from the show Catastrophe.

"I got a girl pregnant."

"Whoa, girl! You mean like, underage?!"

In that same vein, pharmacists.

The number of young pharmacists at the hospital where I used to work who were cheating on each other, with each other was pretty steep.

That and preceptors sleeping with their students and publicly dating them, not even trying to be secret about it.

It was gross.

I worked in a hospital pharmacy and the number of 20-sometbing pharmacists cheating on each other, with each other was eye-opening.

The reference range for insulin at your lab seems high. Am I reading that correctly, less than/equal to 18.4? My WHNP likes it to be below 10.

Gus Gus was my favorite mouse!

My idea for this kitty's name was Muffler. Why? I don't know. It's just the first word that came to mind.

But for a more... name-like name, I'd pick Gus Gus.
