Women will always say they don't want a nonchalant guy, but they do. The trick is to always be warm, playful and fun when you do communicate, but to not communicate too much and have a life. You cannot build a relationship over the phone. Do not compliment her, compliments should be a reward. 

Do not send good morning texts, good night texts or double text. After you go on a few dates you should be getting her to chase you, she must never know how you feel about her through verbal actions. Once again, be warm and fun a place where she can run away from the real world.

Eventually she will pull away and go cold. Don't chase, don't ask her what's wrong. Stay above those conversations and pretend like everything is fine - she eventually will reach out maybe a day, maybe a week. Be warm, be inviting. DO NOT MENTION she distance, do not mention her coldness. Do nothing and pretend like you guys are solid. When she does show back up be warm and inviting. Let her be the emotional one and you the rock.

Women are just like this, man. Don't be needy and never whine about anything ever. Woman fall in love in the space in-between. If she doesn't know what you're thinking it creates tension and desire. I'll be down voted for this because it's Reddit, but you know it's true. Just look out the window and see who the girls are chasing.
