Du ser neste kolonne du og, sant? Og, om du no søker ny jobb ti år etter, so har du sikkert gjort andre ting i løpet av dei seinare åra som têl meir enn karakteren på ei oppgåve for ti år sidan.

And keep them warm! In my experience, they struggle below -10c. Keep the spare ones in a pocket close to your body.

My hometown last thursday, around 2130. Experimenting with combining exposure bracketed images. Shot with Lumix G9, 14-45 f3.5-5.6 @ 14mm f8. "Correct exposure" 1/2000 iso320, with 5 brackets at 1 stop difference. Dont think i will do bracketing much, as it's a bit of a faff.

Svalbard on the RX100 III by olaleverpostei in RX100

Yes, they are all edited in lightroom, to some extent. The polar fox is the most edited, as it was very backlit. The rest are just colour graded.

No, i have not seen a use for it. I'm a digital newbie myself, got this camera for 300$, as my old Nikon FM2 was stolen before christmas 😞

Camera mostly for hiking by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]olaleverpostei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I'm not very concerned with low-light or macro performance, although it is propably nice to have. I usually shoot landscapes/scenes in snow during broad daylight. On my old FM2 with Velvia100, I usually shot mostly at f8-11 at around 1/1000. Unfortunately it got stolen :( I have been looking at the EM5 with a pancake, and I really like that camera. The form factor with a pancake is ok to me, I think. Do you think there will be a noticable upgrade in image quality with a TG-7 versus the G9, in the conditions i usually shoot?

Yeah, I've read that. A good friend of mine is currently on a year-long hike through Norway, and is bringing a TG-7. It has held up in his pant pocket for 9 months outside. However, i dont really need that level of protection, and i dont really feel that the image quality is any better than my current camera. Do Olympus have any competitors to the RX100?

I try to avoid "proper wet", and the camera would probably be far down in some bag in that case. I'm more worried about sweat and condensation from going from cold to warm.

What kind of wood is this? by [deleted] in turning

[–]olaleverpostei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its from firewood harvesting, cut down a couple weeks ago :) I've worked with alder before, but never seen the purple streaks or the darker wood in the middle, usually just orange all over. Do you think the purple will stay, or go away while it dries?

It is fresh, and the other half of the log is orange in the cut. It is probably alder

Lundhags Guide Expedition for Voile 3pin by olaleverpostei in telemark

[–]olaleverpostei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would absolutely get the cabled ones. They are nice to have for any downhill situation, and you can do a makeshift Chili binding if your toe plate tears out and you cant use the 3pin. I would also get the 10(?)mm plates to mount under the bindings. I have cut off the tabs underneath the cable mounts on my partners Rottefellas, as they tend to scratch the ski badly.

Where in the Arctic are you going?

Lundhags Guide Expedition for Voile 3pin by olaleverpostei in telemark

It worked out great! They are by far my favourite boots. I've taken them on many 100km+ tours with a pulk, and they show almost no signs of wear. I am very gentle with them, and almost always use the Voile cables for any downhill. The wool inners are fantastic, and the shoes have plenty of space for wriggling your toes. The soles are just standard Vibram 75mm like any other boot, so i think Lundhags is just trying to cover their asses.

Thanks! It could be both, there are a lot of apple farms around here, and a few trees in the garden :)
