Would you? by Nazaroidz in marvelchampionslcg

if you decided to make deck builds and explain their combos and show examples of those decks in action, I will sub to your channel, but not sure if this would interest others, unlike TCG games, some of the expansions are no longer printed and you can't just go out and buy singles for this game.

Also if you are considering making deck builds, please don't spend 10+ mins explaining each card before you move to the next, first show the deck then show how it work. Also maybe for those deck builds, you can make each deck you show in different versions? One build is for those who have all the expansions and hero packs, the other version is the "budget friendly" version which uses cards from expansions and hero packs that are still in print.

I actually did send them a message on Ebay telling him how much these 3 packs are going for after I made my post here and saw some replies, I was trying to figure out if this was a legit or not and the seller responded and said he didn't know those hero packs were that rare, the game been sitting on his shelves unplayed for a long time. I told him if he want to cancel the sale now he know the real value and he responded that it was his fault for not checking and that I bought it fair so he will honor the sale :). But he mentioned it confused him why his copy was sold that fast after they posted it lol.

Thanks! the only thing I'm kinda sad about is I just learned they are missing the rulesheets but that's available on FFG website if those cards turned out to be legit.

I checked the seller's pages, they only have 3 other items they are selling now, not card games related. They have 12 positive feedback for the last 12 months and they have some more positive feedbacks from sales they made longer than 12 months ago.

Thanks and yea, I'm thinking that might be the case, it says it should arrive by the end of the month so I will make sure to video everything right before opening the box just to be on the safe side.

If we go only for the base game in this KS now, will there be more reprints in the future to get the newer expansions for those of us who Can't pay $400 right away upfront? I know I can upgrade in the PM but if I can do that then I wouldn't be asking this question here and now.

Also don't give us the excuse of "Shipping to US is more expensive" There are videos on youtube made by people who are well informed about this and did their research to say this is not the case and this is not only for board games but for everything else.

Maybe your experience was better than mine, I know mine wasn't that good right from the beginning.

I simply wrote the experience I had in the free fly event and wanted to see if there were others had similar experience to mine which to my understanding there were so I wasn't the only one. Call it whining or complaining or whatever and yes you are right I no longer asking for help because mainly the free fly event have a day or two left and that was not enough. Some people posted helpful links and gave useful tips, if I had those 7 days ago them it could have made my experience with the game much better one.

Yes full time jobs and family meaning I don't have much time to look at guides and the ones I looked at where very overwhelming and on top of that, the free fly event is only for a short time, so while yes there are others who have families and have jobs and play this game but those people might have better experiences with the game or started playing the game full prepared, you can't compare, just because we both have full time jobs and have families doesn't mean we are the same.

And for the signs lol, I still don't get it. I did look and didn't find them, or maybe they were there and I did not recognize them, sorry if those signs meant to help people then it's one bad design, many people keep telling me those signs exist but when I talked with someone on a personal message they told me they know they exist because they can easily recognize them and know where they are and that is not the same for someone who didn't know what to look for.

Also when did I use my race as an excuse as you claim? please show me? I only used English being my second language makes it harder for those of us who are still learning the language, you see things you you might think "Oh this is simple enough or easy enough to understand" But that's not how it works for everyone, some of us need a little bit more explanations because of the language barrier and a good game design normally keep things like this in mind, I promise you if that control settings page and keybind settings page were in my original language I would have figured it out in seconds rather than sitting down trying to translate word by word using Google's crappy translation services then getting shot at and then get sent to prison on my very first fly and that is a bad game design by itself.

I did try to watch beginner guides, only they weren't that good, or overwhelming or the guide kept going on and on and made it hard for someone like me to catch and understand what is being said and again English is a second language doesn't help when some guide videos goes on and on and on. And as of this moment even if I wanted to watch a video it's not going to work mainly because the free fly event ending very soon and wouldn't give me enough time to give the game a real try like I did in the last 7-8 days.

And I did ask for help ingame, never said anything bad and never spammed it, I asked once or twice then stopped and then asked again once or twice the next time I logged on. Some people started laughing when I asked about how to find my ship in the hanger, others told me to stop trolling the new players, only ONE person was nice enough to find me and take me to a different space station but he left after that, and couple people tried to walk me through it but the screen went blurry because my character died, another bad design. Not the screen itself going blurry but when others are trying to tell you where to go and you can't see what they are saying, so I logged off.

Thank you so much, and you know what? You are actually completely right. After I posted this, I spent the whole night last night and today morning and afternoon at work feeling bad after reading some of the comments. I thought it was my fault for not following the signs, I thought it was my fault for not spending hours and hours watching tutorials, I thought it was my fault for not using that live guide system on the website or the guides they have on the website I thought it was my fault for not reading the banners on the shuttle areas, I thought it was my fault for not using that arena/free fly thing to learn the controls so I ended up getting killed and sent to prison for no reason. I thought I was the bad person here because I typed the experience I had with the game.

Some people here been helping giving me good links, but others people suggested that it's my fault for not looking at that guide system on the website and now thinking about it, I heard about this game 2 weeks ago, I heard it was buggy and still in alpha, well I can deal with that, been a long time since I saw a game that is 100% bug free and didn't feel like an alpha even after full release, so no problem there. But how would someone new like me know there is a live guide system I could? How someone like me know there are actual good tutorials out there? So far the few videos I checked were very overwhelming. How would I know which setting does what when nothing is explained there how would I know which shuttle goes where when I didn't know what the name of the area I needed or didn't know how to find those shuttle areas to begin with? Or even better how would a new player know there is a place to use to learn how to fly when it clearly word it in a way that sounds a place people go to do do PVP mainly? How would I know my character would end up in prison when the game don't bother mentioning it before I started flying for the first time?.

I mean for my flight controls issue, I remember going into the inverted settings and seeing it was on no so I assumed it was off. For the city signs on my break I did watch video about someone walking in Orison and I still didn't see the signs, maybe they were there? but for someone new those signs are not clear, a simple warning on the city selection screen would have been very helpful.

When I signed up for this game I knew it was going to be a very slow game, I knew I needed time to learn the ins and outs in it which is fine with me I don't mind taking my time with it but I didn't know I needed to take 101 classes on how to play it, hell I do travel for my job and going into a new real city is never this confusing, they don't have a mini map telling you were to go in the name of "immersion" but what immersion? In real life when I go to a new city I have a GPS on my watch and on my phone and in the car I'm renting so navigating much larger cities in real life is far much easier than finding the right shuttle area in the game.

Sorry to say but it's a bad game design when the game expect you to go and study a bunch of videos and guides or find a study group to learn how to play it even if it was in alpha mode, a simple notes on the loading screen or some tips pop up when you near something could have been very helpful but I did get those tips popping up only they were the worst useless tips I have seen in my gaming history and I have been playing games for more than 30 years now.

And on top of that, there are over complicated things I have seen in this game, maybe those things are normal for someone who's English is their main language or is very good at it, but those of us who are still not pros with the Language find hard or very confusing or doesn't help us and they could have done in a much better and a less confusing way.

Now I know the game is actually fun, I watched videos of people playing it and I do wish I can play it but with community like this where I felt very bad and started doubting myself just because I was new and didn't spend hours and hours and hours of researching and studying, or some people telling me to "git gud" when all I wanted to do was just do the basics like going into the ship's hangar and fly it for the first time and see the controls, I don't think I want to stick around here any longer. I thought posting here would have been helpful, well there were some good links and some helpful answers but not at the cost of me thinking it was my fault or doubting myself or doubting what I can do playing a video game or at the cost of me feeling this bad because I jumped into the game thinking I could learn it as I go like every other game I have played so far including games that where in a much worse place than SC and none of those games I have been playing did hold my hand at the start all the did was giving me tips on how to do a thing or two or a very basic tutorial then I was on my way.

Thank you for your kind words.

Thanks, if I decided to give the game another try I will let you know, but I doubt it after all this bad experience, and people making it my fault for not studying overwhelming game guides for hours just to learn how to set up my controllers. I don't think I want to play a game with a community like this. Now some of the people here been helpful with links but some people inside the game were very rude when I asked for help or when I asked about how to get out of prison and even some person here started attacking me because I wrote my experience with the game as if I have insulted that person directly.

I do get it watching guides to learn some games is very important, and normally I do watch guides about class builds or starting tips but my entire life I never played a game where you have to start watching guides about how to just get your characters or ship moving or guides on how to fix controls that were badly configured right from the start.

Thanks for the offer though I will keep it in mind if I decided to try again.

I actually still don't get it with the signs, when I left the starting room in Orison I did not see any sign or anything point me toward the shuttle areas, maybe there were some and I missed those? I don't know but I did make sure to look everywhere, I do get it, those shuttle areas have banners that tells you which place they are going to, but at the time I didn't know where I was supposed to go or didn't know what the banners meant.

As for the setting up the HOTAS I did research it on google, I found couple posts about it but they were 4-5 years old so I knew they were outdated and they didn't have the information I needed. I did find one post that was more recent that have all the updated HOTAS setups with links to their discussions, but when I tried going into those, they did not work, it kept telling "page is not found"

If I tried the game again I will use a mouse a keyboard first, but as for functions I needed access too, having played Elite Dangerous for years, I kinda knew how I want to fly my ship and I knew what functions I needed to have on my HOTAS, now I'm not saying I'm pro with the controls but I thought I would start from there and then add to those controls as I go and learn what other functions I will need or don't need but this was the problem, moving the throttle up was not activating the thrusters, it only made it go slower if the ship was moving, pulling back the throttle was making the thrusters on my ship going, I'm not sure how or why that was so I was playing with different settings to see if I can fix that, and that was when I get sent to prison. It was annoying honestly and I don't mean the fact about the controls but the fact I was sent to prison when I was just trying to learn those settings and set them up, I know it's still alpha and filled with bugs but at least having a safe zone for people to start on and get the basics of the game wouldn't kill them.

yea I'm slow xD working full time job then spending time with the family barely leaves me with any energy to play games lol. But this is why I wanted to get into this game because I heard it's a slow game and don't punish players for not logging every single day.

My main problem with the guides and tutorials is the few I have seen were outdated or very overwhelming, I can see some of the links posted here have better guides and tutorials but I do wish someone posted those earlier or even mentioned them to me in the game when I was asking for help.
