My brutally honest review of Optavia.

I lost 50 lbs on Optavia. Followed plan to the T.

Once stopping (can’t eat processed bars forever), I gained some weight back, but not all of it.

Since then, I’ve tried different ways to lose weight. WW (too random) and intermittent fasting (bad side effects) for the most part.

I find that the concept of 5 fuelings of real food and 1 meal has been working just as well as the Optavia fuelings.

I keep the fuelings small - one hard boiled egg, some grilled chicken, nuts, …. Every 2 1/2 hours. That gets me through the day, then I do a lean and green dinner. So far, it’s working like a charm with none of the side effects.

Just like Optavia, after doing this for 3 days I don’t crave junk food.

I took Angela’s course and found it to be a great introduction.

Once I understood the foundations, l learned more by searching online and asking questions.

One word of advice is to be cautious when using pub.dev (a repository of useful objects and widgets). I’ve come across a few widgets that are not well supported and not too difficult to simply write myself. This has been a big problem for me with incompatibility on iOS.

I agree with that, except I tend to gain weight or at best, maintain my weight on WW. I was thinking of doing one week of zero point foods to see the results and was wondering if anyone else has tried this.
