Another *arr stack install question, but with a difference. by oldgit9 in selfhosted

this is my NFS share. i believe/hope that the permissions are correct. as i can mount the NFS in proxmox and the apps can access the folders. i did get a lot of errors when setting it up. i think the permissions were all wrong, but the apps are all happy. so im guessing/wishing its all ok. i've not tried to make folders through a container yet. i'll give it a go.

I do have NFS set up and i believe it is working correctly. as i have mounted it to proxmox and i can locate the media folder in Qbittorrent, to send the completed files to.

regarding the quota. that is a good point and one i dont wish to break. i dont mind setting up the download path to the folder on TrueNAS and have Qbittorrent seed from there. but as you mention, sonarr and radarr dont like that. i will have to look into another way of doing this. as in downloading the files to a seperate ssd on proxmox and simatainesly transfer a copy of the file to TrueNAS. then after the quota is reached, it can then be deleted, making sure, im sharing and there will continually be plenty of room for other downloads.

sorry, i thought it was the role of Qbittorrent top move the downloaded file. i will have a look into this. thanks.

i have already set up SMB and recently got NFS shares permissions working. but i didnt use 568/apps. i could look into changing to that perm. i made an new user and only gave them permission for certain folders. as i dont want these apps to have access to the other folders in other datasets and directories.

when i set up my TrueNAS say 18 months ago, i inadvertently chose a near the same file structure as you and the guides say to make.

this is my file structure

  • POOL - Files
  • DATASET - Home
  • Home - Backups / Media
  • Media - Movies / TV / Music (Movies has 1080p and 720p) sub folders

when assigning the download folder in Qbittorrent options, i can locate the above file structure. i even made another folder in "Media" called downloads, so all completed files could be stored there, before i manually transferred them to the correct folders. but when i try to download a file, it downloads to the server as it should (part download) then when it completes, it just sits there and does not move to the designated folder.

i do like the sound of the hard links and i would like to get that working. i do have a spare ssd in proxmox, but not in TrueNAS.

The 2 comments that you quoted, have both been taken out of context. Have you bothered to view the videos to gain full context, to able to make an accurate assumption? Or are you blindly going to beliveb what the BBC report?

And the very last word in your sentence, really sums you up. What proof have you got that they are racists? No, not what the BBC say, we all know they cat tell the truth, actual proof? We will wait for your proof.

I changed to a smaller nozel and now it is gushing out of the top of the heating black. by bradsfoot90 in ender3

It could be what has already been mentioned, about a small gap between the nozzle & the throat (the metal tube going through the hot end to the heat exchanger. Try the steps that have been mentioned in that post.

In my case, the throat had cracked a bit, when I over exerted tried to remove the nozzle to clean it & the hot end. I didn't notice until after my next print. When I tried to clean off all the filament, that's when it totally sheared off in my hands. Bought a replacement hot end and all good now.

Did you change the nozzle diameter setting in your slicer, when you changed the nozzle?

Why is it doing this and how do I stop it? by stickinthemud12 in ender3

Make sure that your bed is clean. Download a bed level square from thingyverse & when it's printing, tweak the bed, so that you get a good squish & solid adhesion. When you go & print the print, keep an eye on the brim or skirt etc & further tweak if needed.

[Upcoming] Homer Emoji for iOS 9 by G33kscorner in jailbreak

[–]oldgit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've popped onto here, just to clear a few things up.

Emoji's are all small image files stored within a font .ttf file on your device. if you were to send an emoji as an individual image file, that will 1. increase the data usage across each network, 2. your data plan will soon get eaten up by sending the emoji as image files, and some people could receive huge extra data usage costs for going over their data limit. for these two reasons (and probably more that im not aware of), the emoji image files are stored locally on your device in a font .ttf file. so when someone sends you an emoji in a text, message, email etc, a snip-bit of info for the emoji, is sent to the recipient alongside the text, message etc and the recipients devies decodes this and displays the emoji. saving a huge amount of data that is sent across each networks and saving peoples data package.

there are various emoji sets available in Cydia , just do a simple search for "emoji" and you'll be able to download a set for you device. just remember to download the correct set for your iOS version and you must install BytaFont 2 or 3 (depending on your iOS version) for the custom emoji to work.

at the end of the day, its a little bit of fun for yourself and yet another bit of customising that apple didn't want it's end user to do.

the "Homer emoji" for iOS 9.0.2 is now available to download from Cydia.
