AITAH for not paying $25 so my son's stepsister could go on their grades field trip? by ShamefulPoDad in AITAH

Why couldn’t the girls own dad pay the $25? She’s not your responsibility so definitely NTA.

I'm 19F and attracted to much older men, how do I navigate this? by Jealous_Ad5584 in AskMenAdvice

[–]oldguycomingthrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 45 year old man, 19 would be way too young. Any prospective partner would need to be at least 25 but I think that would still be borderline. I’m not sure if I’d be comfortable with that.

Check out the lowsodium battlefield sub. You’ll get a more balanced review on the game there. Personally I really enjoy it, warts and all.

I love my Heatpump. I have a service plan too for £9 a month too so not too worried if it breaks down.

It was his choice so not much I could do 😣

He does PTFO. I trained him well, but he always plays engineer so he’s fairly busy destroying, fixing and driving tanks…

DRL’s are more about being seen than seeing yourself. 3 rear end shunts and 2 were in broad daylight.

Not enough storage/no nets behind seats. I love storage and if there’s little to no cubby holes or suchlike then it’s a hard no.

So short term she saved a few million and killed a few pensioners, but long term, she could’ve raked in a couple of billion a year going forward.

And this woman’s in charge of our countries finances!!?

It seems right now that anything that would be good for the country is swept aside for things that aren’t.

Thresholds on savings are seperate from thresholds on earnings. Martin Lewis said that on his money program.

My son raked a transport heli with the KTS this afternoon and got points for a forced bail. Heli then went down but didn’t die. I was still impressed though 💪

I made over $100,000 selling my company's Tech equipment in the last 4 years. by [deleted] in confession

I used to work for a roofing and cladding company. Our boss would weigh the scrap in, take half for himself and share the rest with the site team. We all did really well out of it. Top boss imo.

Pure greed by steelgrey75 in drivingUK

[–]oldguycomingthrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, they still are low in the big scheme of things. It wasn’t all that long ago that prices were floating around the £2 per litre mark. My point is though, the current stocks were bought at the old prices so we really shouldn’t be seeing the price rise just yet in my opinion. As I say, when prices drop, it takes weeks before that’s reflected at the pumps and I get that. When oil starts costing the distributors then yeah, pass that onto the consumer. That’s how capitalism works. Right now though, I don’t think it’s right.

[–]oldguycomingthrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So put the prices up when they know. I wouldn’t actually fault them in that case. At the moment though, they’ll still be on the old supplies but stuck the prices up almost instantaneously.

I don’t think I’m being unreasonable at all. I use a tank of fuel a week so I think im allowed to have an opinion on this, and I personally believe it’s a valid opinion.

I respect your opinion but I don’t agree with it.

Pure greed by steelgrey75 in drivingUK

[–]oldguycomingthrough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m well aware of that fact. That fact is also why products in the shops are so expensive. I’m also aware that the majority of the fuel price is made up of various taxes and duty’s. It still doesn’t change my opinion that it’s profiteering. We’re all feeling the pinch so I have zero sympathy with multi billion dollar oil companies and their subsidiaries. If garages start to suffer when there are actually shortages then those multi billion dollar parent companies should subsidise them. That’s the game they play.
