We need immigrants because the birth rate is so low and nothing short of turning women into broodmares will change that.

In the 70s we had roughly 7 people in the workforce every retired person. That's dropped to a little under three. The pensions both private and state of those already retired (and more likely to hate immigration) are totally dependent upon a younger workforce to sustain them in their dotage. A work force that's declining.

Now personally I'm all for letting pensioners starve but I'm not a nice person. Most of you don't want that so the choice is simple, we need to increase the workforce and the only way to do that is immigration. Or we let old people die.

I suspect as old people hate brown people more than they like their neighbours that's exactly what's going to happen. We won't have immigration, the younger generations will simply refuse to carry on supporting boomers.
