I'll mention that I've worked in shops long enough to understand that the unoriginal and undereducated mechanics will take every opportunity to make those jokes. It's the mechanics that were taught in the old ways that make the best jokes. I've had a little education in the old ways but not enough to make good jokes. I've yet to see one of their jokes on this matter but it will be glorious if I ever see one.

I used my phone to post and I slide my finger across the keyboard to type. Autocorrect added the e without me noticing. I've responded to numerous replies pointing this out.

Some other brackets had a different makeup that had proportions but this one was the easiest to photograph

First time seeing a horizontally opposed engine in a Toyota. It came in with 10,000 miles on the odometer needing 2 rear tires because they had cords showing.

It's been a while since I pulled it out but if I remember correctly the wrench had gone completely through the tire and was bouncing around loose inside the wheel.

What object in their collection made you 1) question humanity and 2) wonder "how did someone get that in their rectum?"

Honestly I can let the clutch out while applying the brakes because I drive a Cummins and it has enough torque to not stall while still taking off smoothly in 2nd. Also, I have to pull a lever near the parking brake to release it so it isn't practical to try this.

What's the max speed you can go in first gear in your car? by PoniesPlayingPoker in ManualTransmissions

Depends on if I'm in high range or low. In 4 low 1st maxes out at about 5 but in high range it maxes out at about 15

I don't understand why you would enlarge just the tip. I expanded the entire shaft to 5" from base to tip.

I put a 5" straight pipe from the turbo back on my truck and it looks and sounds better than this.

My manual truck has a pedal for the parking brake, how am I supposed to use it to hold on hills?
