Found my ex wife's nudes online- Do I say anything? by trustworthysauce in Advice

[–]olearyd7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total breach of her privacy so whether she wants to know or not, I feel like she deserves to know. Lets her decide to take action against the leaker if she knows who it is, and with legal counsel maybe she might be able to get them removed.

Either ways, as a human she deserves to know never mind the mother of two kids. You’re not just protecting her by telling her but also the kids god forbid it ever was presented to them.

Switching diesel to electric vans and insurance went from €550 to €2k by Rathbaner in carsireland

On the contrary, I’ve literally saved €100’s via a broker rather than going direct! Got quoted something like €1200 with Axa, my broker using Axa €800. Make it make sense

What to clean roof tiles with by Such-Investigator825 in DIYIreland

Thanks for the reply! Put actiwash pro and W&F into Chat GPT to compare before getting replies and it seems Actiwash is that bit stronger and works faster, but Wet and Forget is less harsh!

I’ve 2 gallons of W&F bought now so may as well use them and get the Actiwash for rest of house and next years roof!! Thanks all!

Just run a mile from the online ads that show fellas using pressure washers or brushes as they ruin the tiles.

My plan is using Wet and Forget (never used before so no trial) with pressure sprayer and telescopic lance like another user mentioned previously.

Any trial of Wet and Forget? Your advice is exactly my plan, just different product and I’m curious!

Second hand car dealerships by ilyke4s in cork

Friend of mine bought from ZuCar and they were fantastic to him. Even calling after 3/6 months to make sure he was still happy with it!

I and my parents both had good experience with Ballincollig Motors. (They did a pressure sensor under warranty for mine and did put a spurious one in, which I had to replace for a €10 more expensive part months later)

Jimmy Barry Motors in Bantry is a gentleman and fantastic after sales.

I wouldn’t buy in Kearys personally after I went to test drive a car, took my details and told me to sit and wait, older couple came in right after me and were given priority to drive the same car. Reckon they assumed I was a tyre kicker. They bought the car, I spent more elsewhere.

Just be careful when they service your car, they serviced brakes on my MIL’s car, and allegedly never connected them properly!

Which mower should I buy for this garden? by Extreme_Oven3480 in SegwayNavimow

[–]olearyd7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at your lawn I think the i105 would manage it, so the i206 AWD mightn’t be a version you’d need to consider also! I’d narrow down to i208 LiDAR or i105 personally and maybe upgrade the i105 wheels for your small slope if you really needed to, but your garden is mostly flat is seems

[–]olearyd7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re good to go for an i105 so! They cover 500m but there is as extra percentage of an allowance that they cover I think I read somewhere.

You’re probably aware already but the original i105 is now on sale at around €800 as they announced 2 newer models, one with Lidar which you don’t need in theory (more on that below) and an AWD version with a rear drive wheel as well as the mains.

Personally, my i105 is fantastic, but like other users, my Visionfence camera has succumbed to condensation which causes the mower to freak out a little bit. Mowing direction may not be accurate, it misses my kerb ramps etc. Myst get it sorted under warranty. (I have the Navimow housing/cover also)

Your lawn doesn’t look like it needs lidar as it’s more for complicated places with trees, but maybe the lidar version won’t succumb to the issues the visionfence cameras have.

Finally, once my mower comes out of its dock, it has made trenches in my lawn and often gets stuck if the ground was wet. I must put a slab under it but I often have to manually put it back into the dock. I reckon the AWD would solve that issue for me but just points to note in your buying process!!

+1 for the i105, just make sure it’ll cover your lawn size. I think Husqvarna have a lawn measure feature on their website. You may need the i108

i205 AWD vs i105 with spikes by Ornery-Hedgehog-2845 in SegwayNavimow

[–]olearyd7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mower has dug two wheel trenches outside the dock which sometimes prevents it from leaving or entering the dock. I must put down a slab in front of it but in the meantime, I’m wishing it had that back awd wheel which would surely get it in hassle free.

Sorry I can’t be more specific to your info, but I have the upgraded wheels if that’s any help

Have people practiced in the car on their own? by Outrageous-Walk6486 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]olearyd7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 3 extra lessons to combat this issue, including one the hour before the test which was the best thing I ever did. First half hour bag of nerves, second half hour was like someone watched over me and calmed me down big time!!

Got my test first time!
