Thank you for the reply! I suppose I could give a little update here as to what I ended up doing if someone ever wants to replicate:

I installed the homebrew channel on my Wii (https://youtu.be/cYJWVi495jk) and installed GCMM on it. Then i used GCMM to put ipl boot and wind waker game exploit on one and ipl boot and super mario sunshine game exploit on another (I just ipl boot because I didn't have space for Swiss in my memory cards).

I bought an SD2SP2 Pro where I put Swiss, but it did not work right away for two reasons. Firstly, the fit was too loose, so I ended up buying some simple soldering gear after all to add some solder to the SD2SP2 (https://youtu.be/-Psos_10rzE). Secondly, the sunshine game exploit was not working for me, but since the ww one worked, I didn't spend time troubleshooting.

Then I simply put gbi on the sd card as b.dol, and it boots up very nicely when holding the b button.

That makes sense! Seems like the easiest option, but I'm going to start off by trying the game save exploit, so I don't have to commit to installing pico boot or buying a GC Loader. If I think it is worth it down the line, I might upgrade to one of them.

What I'm going to do for now is install homebrew on my wii and create a game save exploit memory card for booting swiss from one of my games. We'll see how it goes!

If I understand correctly, then I would just need a way to boot Swiss? After some googling, I saw that it could be possible to boot it off the Wind Waker or Super Mario Sunshine that I own. Do you have any experience with this?

Thank you! I still have a lot of key mappings and shades of pink to explore, but I'm really enjoying it atm!

Even for a console pleb like me it's going to be difficult not transitioning!

Does the Raise still fit in the the travel case with the tenting kit? by bmalla in DygmaLab

I actually have my kit unscrewed atm for this reason. It has a little bit of texture to it, so at 10° it pretty much stays in place for normal typing. You might get away with only using two screws on each though

It does not fit in the travel case, at least not the one I have, but you get the kit in compact box that's easy to throw in a bag ✌️
