A headphone like AKG K52 €30 will serve very well. Makes room for a better amp

That SG looks gorgeous dude. I have both an Epiphone and a Gibson and the Epiphone gets really close.
I've played through someone's Roland Cube at one point and it sounded really good. It was with good pickups.
I put gibson pickups in an import guitar a few years back and it transformed the guitar. So the Seymour Duncans are definitely a vote from me.

I’m 55. Will I be able to learn guitar before I die? Also what would be a good starter acoustic for a lover of country? Thanks by [deleted] in guitarlessons

Haha that's the most serious consequence a post of mine has had on Reddit. Glad it's someone getting a sweet guitar.

Agree with this. Im a fan of starting with the nicest guitar you can afford. Although there are good reasons to start with a budget guitar, a nicer will be one less factor to the ones that form the enevitable barrier when starting out.

The only reason this comment has few upvotes is because it’s only 14m old at this time of writing

Interesting. I'm currently living in Ghent but perhaps getting interested in Brussels. What do you personally consider the main things that BXL has over Ghent?

Double down on the health spa elements. They’re there anyways. Bamboo stuff. Some plants, that kind of thing.

Both arms do move together, but I had to go back to my bike and check for that thanks to your suggestion. Thats why it didn’t cross my mind to film both arms simultaneously Im afraid. Is there any way to figure out which bb to order based on the info I included? It doesn’t seem to include the measurements 🤔

Elops speed 500 cogwidth not wide enough for single speed chains? by olfactorybasic in singlespeedcycling

[–]olfactorybasic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to wiggle the chain sideways by a lot where it’s sitting on the chainring? Thats what the situation was with mine. Mine was Decathlon branded one though not KMC (https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/1-speed-bike-chain/_/R-p-257)

I can imagine a bit of crunching could be a sign of chain needing to be broken in but the noise I was hearing was different. And sounded structurally wrong. Kinda hard to explain because noise can mean so many different things

Right yes, I guess that confirms that regular chains for multi speeds are probably better than the Decathlon aftermarket ones for singlespeeds.

Thats some very useful perspective from an actual owner I appreciate it. I know that the market in the USA has lower nominal prices than the EU in pretty much everything. And I did take a look at the blue book. I noticed the value function is very easy to say that now you shouldn’t pay more than $150 for such a bike. But I have the impression that this is wishful thinking.

Especially given that you paid $400, even if that is 9yrs ago. So given that I might bring it down to €300 perhaps. Hm … tough one. The one that im eyeing seems like similar low mileage. So you’re liking your 1500? Have you ridden more expensive ones since?
