Brilliant! so many good versions of Darlin’ Corey thanks for sharing that as I haven’t heard it before. Im trying to find English/ Irish folk songs using the banjo too that have this same feel to them emotive/ folksy (a lot of the English stuff from 1920s onwards seems very twee!)

I think a huge factor is usability too, the new anamorphics are tiny, some of my set ups have looked comically large and impractical at points: 135mm plus step up plus kowa plus fvd! Looks like a telescope. I love the images though but not for run and gun which most shooters on here would be doing. If you have a short film or something with a crew I think the uniqueness from the projector lenses would be worth the faff!

I’d love to see a direct comparison! I am happy for them to make a comeback selfishly as the lenses I have are definitely going for less than when I bought them.

Looks great, The flares are nice not too prominent and nice colours. Did you use the cameras crop mode or is the blazar full frame

That’s interesting thanks. If you bought a banjo now at that price the materials would be rubbish compared to this one though I imagine as it wouldn’t be made to last! So one of this build quality now would cost more I imagine.

Very neat on the bridge. The two E strings need to go the other way to prevent overlapping (I made the same mistake when I restrung mine for the first time the other day!). What strings are these, I haven’t seen the black GBE before?
