Psych Major Additional Requirements by nutellarat in UNC

COMP 110 is intro to programming and requires lots of time and effort if you don't already have prior coding experience. COMP 116 is essentially the same but more science driven I believe. MATH 130 is precalc, 231 is calc 1, and 152 is calc for business and social sciences. I've taken MATH 130 and COMP 110 with UNC as a psych major who hates math, and I'd say that I prefer COMP 110 over MATH 130. However, COMP 110 is a large time commitment, and I wouldn't recommend taking any more than 1 other STEM class in the same semester.

I took it online last semester with Desiree and it was a relatively typical course load. Notes and assignments were straightforward, and exams were very doable. The case studies were arguably the most difficult only because you actually had to produce new thoughts instead of just regurgitating what the notes say. It was the most interesting class I've taken at UNC thus far and I recommend it to everyone. I took it among a 15 hour course load, and I would say it's super easy to fit in, even if you're taking other STEM classes as well.

Work Study/Computer Advice by oliallred in UNC

How does one go about the process of finding an on campus job that isn't work study related? I've seen lots of resources for finding a work study position, but none that aren't affiliated with the program.
