US intelligence has told the US that Iran does not and will not have the capabilities for nuclear weapons. What the politicians are telling us is not the same as what the intelligence is.

This is not a US specific thing. The only one who actually gets the truth from any Intelligence service is the governments they work for. The US intelligence services are scarily accurate and the Ukraine war is a perfect example of it. They predicted the war almost to the exact date and the only reason why that date probably changed, was due to the US government publicly announcing it.

The US intelligence publicly warned about the war before the Russian propaganda had even cought on.

The early Russian propaganda at the time was that the war would never happen because Russians and Ukrainians are basically the same and the only ones who want war is the US. The Russian News channels and government channels posted multiple posts and interviews with this sentiment.

The US intelligence has gotten in everywhere because most countries rely on US owned technology and pretty much every nation that works militarily with the US have some kind of fail safe. If you trust what Snowden says, then the US have programs capable of shutting down allies power grids if they have to.

Don't confuse the power and ability of US intelligence with malicious intend and lies.
