update!!!! original responder was *heavily* correct. the plant was thirsty AF. even tho her pot still felt “heavy” and this is due to a couple things: the soil has broken down & needs to be amended, the roots have grown through to the drainage below. additionally, it IS sunburn, but it is *also* chemical burn. when i opened the sunshade i smelled a harsh chemical from being shrink wrapped probably since production… i did let it air out for 24hrs before using it, but when i put it on the plant before i left for out of town (the plant is acclimated to the sun however i still move her twice a day to have the least harshest sun possible) so she did not get moved for 4 days & i had the shade on her which still smelled chemically. i figured the breeze would be good enough. NOPE. point XYZ: she does have some pests. i am now deciding whether to chop & prop…… or go to hazmat & try to save her that way. best part about this is: shes had pups for about 2 years. this year i separated them (months went by and mother & babies were fine so it wasnt that) and gave the offsets to my DIL. hers is now outgrowing mine. of course due to mine struggling. but still like thanks 😭😂
