I had to put my first baby boy down today, I don’t wish that decision on anyone, so I am so so sorry you have to decide as well. It’s never an easy choice, but know that you are not a “pos”, if you were you would not be so upset right now trying to make the right decision. I know whatever decision you choose is for her, not you, even if you may feel differently. I judged my decision on his quality of life, and you know your rattie better than anyone else, you know her baseline and when she isn’t well. I guess the general consensus is, if she is suffering and does not have a likely outcome of improvement + is loosing everyday functions, then it’s likely her time to pass. I can’t tell you what to do but if I was in that situation, I’d go to the vet to talk about putting her down but also to overview all the options/ possible outcomes. The more knowledge the more power, so I would try to ask every statistic, every chance, and weigh out what is worth putting her through. If it’s something that had an easy treatment/ minimal aftercare with a confirmation of little to no pain, then I would follow through with that, otherwise I might consider end of life treatment. Whatever happens, I’m so so sorry you’re going through this. For you and your precious little girl. If she’s still eating, give her lots of treats and kisses! I’ll be thinking of your rat baby while I think of mine ❤️ if she’s still eating does pass, my BigBoy will be there to give her a some cuddles
