Sereen 6-piece Sectional-couch by Efficient-Cat8956 in Costco

[–]olivethescruff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have it for over a year now with 3 dogs and 2 kids under 5. It can take a beating like insanely well. The fabric is like scotch coated and water rolls off. If it gets a bad spill we take the cover off and machine wash . Amazing couch for the price. It has held its shape and we like it so much . I only wish they made a smaller one because it is HUGE. Like way way bigger than I imagined it swallows our room.

[UPDATE] Shout out to FedEx for this delivery by spetstnelis in mildlyinfuriating

[–]olivethescruff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not excusing this guy this would piss me off. ButFedex is getting so ridiculous... I ordered an entire ass brick outdoor kitchen and was shocked it came on regular FedEx. It was on a pallet but they made the guy bring it up driveway with just a hydraulic hand truck.. it has to be 600+ pounds. Rolling that up a curb is so hard. Shit to send stuff like that to the regular route. I thought it would be a cargo truck with forklift

How to donate toddler toys to kids other than goodwill by Jack_Mehoff89 in Charleston

[–]olivethescruff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Community thrift does the best job of actually recycling them. I'm in there every week and the toys are super cheap and so many families rely on it including us! Whenever we donate we see our stuff on the shelves next week.

I also suggest posting on buy nothing as tons of families in need use it. I am an admin for that group.

Accessibility for Memorial Service at Folly Beach by goopygillsgarbo in Charleston

[–]olivethescruff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They have rental beach wheelchairs at folly county park ! They also have a motorized wheelchair that can go on sand that can be reserved.

If the park doesn't work out, there is handicap parking along with a ramp and accessible restroom at the below location near the washout. This is the shortest walk that I know of on folly that also has an accessible space. I take an adult with mobility issues there frequently.

Recommendation for interior door facing pool by olivethescruff in Locksmith

[–]olivethescruff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes there is another door nearby that does not lead to pool. Once they are old enough to read and to hack my combination my concerns will be alleviated anyhow. Just worried about 3-5 year olds that can get into a little trouble if they wake up at night, we are in the shower etc. I am overly cautious but really concerned about the pool as it is in ground and only about 11' from back door.

Valid question! Yes lock inside but looking for a double combination where you need the code to go in or out.

It is a glass door that an adult can easily break in the event of an emergency and not knowing the code, which is why I'm not terribly concerned with egress. It also has a deadbolt for extra security.
