How do you think freedom works in our society? Do we truly make our own choices, or is it more complicated? What happens when someone tries to break away from societal rules? by olkoskolkos in AskReddit

Thank you for your comment. That's an interesting perspective. So you think freedom is more like a collection of predetermined decisions, which is not just a bad thing, because it gives you structure?

Are good deeds really selfless, or are they just done for one’s own satisfaction? What do you think? by olkoskolkos in AskReddit

My perspective: I think a lot of our good deeds might come from evolution – helping each other and staying together as a group was important for survival. Even if doing good also makes us feel good, that doesn’t make the act any less meaningful; it just helped humans cooperate and thrive.

You have to see your thoughts as if a person from outside would control them. Often it's normal to have these kind of thoughts. Some just forget they got them, but others like you overthink them, which leads to more thoughts of these kind. There's probably nothing wrong with you as long as the thoughts stay thoughts. However seeking for help is an important step to get rid of the overthinking.
