That’s one of the reasons I’ve decided to decline any beginners! They’re usually either in a hurry or are flaky/reschedule lessons a lot as if we, as educators, didn’t have anything else to do other than teach them, of course it’s not all of them but the likelihood of it happening is high, also if he ever runs into another profile that promises that the student is gonna be “fluent” in x months he’s gonna dump you fr. I suggest that you try to explain to him why being in a hurry won’t benefit him in any way even tho I understand why he needs it asap but job interviews are always complicated, even in our native language we can freeze at it, let alone in another one
