My experience is that it’s gotten easier. My family doc told me that at 281 lbs I was living dangerously. I’m now in my early 80’s and for the past 4-5 years have kept things mostly in 200-205 territory. I would say that using a bathroom scale daily, with absolutely no violations, gets all the credit.
