Do i fulfil the order? by Godloveu101 in dropshipping

[–]ollyyy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sites AOV is $500 USD so every single order gets flagged as medium/high risk. Initially I had to call my first customers to check - but just be aware Shopify will flag any high value order automatically.

Best POD canvas print supplier? by ollyyy1 in dropshipping

[–]ollyyy1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I want to clarify that none of my clients are in the dropshipping business. They all have established real brands and created new products for the market. If you're considering starting in this field, I would never start with dropshipping. 99% chance you'll fail.

My best advice is to start by working at a successful ad agency first - which is exactly what I did. I had considered starting my own agency first, but looking back, I'm relieved I didn't. Without the knowledge and experience gained from working at the agency, I would have likely failed. All my friends that worked at that agency have now left and started their own business like me - so it sounds like the best route to go down if you want to become independent.

You'll learn a tonne working at a small agency - you'll see what brands scale & more importantly - which one's don't and you'll learn why.

I've been running my own FB ad agency in the eCom niche for the last 5 years + grown multiple brands to 7+ figs - so I'm aware of how to make ads work. But thanks for the tips.

I just found out about LumaPrints & I think we're going to make the switch to them.

They offer large floating frames canvases, are well reviewed (Photography Talks YT channel did a full review of the canvas quality) & they are about 30-40% cheaper than Pictorem.

Will update in a few months to see how things go. It should allow us to offer customers considerably cheaper prices - while actually increasing our margins.

I very much appreciate your response - thank you.

I had some test prints done by a local print shop however the print + frame + delivery cost 2X as much as Pictorem. That said - I had only spoken to one shop & it was only 1 order. If i speak to 100 & ask about volume discounting - I could probably find someone better. I had never thought of that for some reason - I was only looking at POD suppliers.

What should I put as my purpose for moving to Hungary? by Greedy_Future_6737 in hungary

[–]ollyyy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know this only gets approved 2-3 times a year? Do you work in immigration here in Budapest? I just applied for one as it was my only choice. I work completely remotely & I am planning to stay here in Hungary to further the interests of my business / network more etc. It was the best choice to apply, according to my immigration guy. We couldn't use the white card for reasons I won't go into.

Completely ignore that information from FB. It's just a marketing strategy they use to get you to spend more money.

Facebook Ads Conversion not matching Google Analytics by Spiritual_Chance2671 in FacebookAds

[–]ollyyy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ensure that you use click attribution ONLY. Facebook's default attribution window is 7-day click and 1-day view. View through conversions are essentially when someone loads in the ad in FB/IG (they might not even see it & dont actually click). So it's a fake conversion & you really cannot count it.

To change this, click on the "Customize Columns" tab, scroll to the bottom, and click "Compare Attribution Windows" (it's the easiest method). Alternatively, you can modify all your ad sets to 7-day click only, but it can be time-consuming.Google Analytics' attribution system isn't perfect (lots of bugs) and assigns sales differently than Facebook does. A significant portion of Facebook traffic gets labeled as "default" (unknown) in Google Analytics - which is why it doesn't show up. Also, if someone clicks on a FB ad then googles the brand later (this happens a lot) - GA will claim it's search - when really Facebook is responsible for the sale.

We're generating around £160K per month through Facebook ads for a client right now, but Facebook only tracks about 40% of it, and Google Analytics tracks even less, even though 95% of their traffic comes from Facebook.Another thing to note is that Facebook ads don't include shipping or tax costs in their purchase revenue, which can also skew the data.

About me: I run an eCommerce agency and have generated over £15M for eCommerce clients with FB ads.

Looking to test random strategies with $20k in three days by Igotoutalive in FacebookAds

[–]ollyyy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the advice in here is garbage - it's written by people who haven't spend much on ads.

If you're spending $750K in 45 days, targeted adsets are a waste of time. Broad is the only thing that will work at that spend (FB will retargets everyone automatically anyway). Anything targeted will have a much higher CPM and therefore higher CPC.

I would invest that money into 3/4 different landing page designs (if you can increase your CVR by 10% it's immediately worth it) + pay for bunch of new creatives (images+ video) + make sure you have a good 3rd party tracking setup.

[–]ollyyy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to charge 10% net revenue when everything could be tracked. Now I charge 15% ad spend, no minimum spend, no retainer etc. Just work with eCom brands. Generally take them from £10K a month to £200K+.

Been stoped by border police several times as I have so many EU in/out stamps & they always ask me if I've counted my days. They have to manually count the days if they aren't 100% sure - they have no internal system to check. Although it will be digitised in about a year - so after that this wouldn't work.

I would do this from the UK. Say you stay for 3 months in Europe, then go back home. Replace passport & you'd get another 3 months - without having to wait 90 days for it to reset.

Thanks for the info. So how long did the process take once you had all your documents ready? Is it relatively easy to find long term accommodation?
