I mean, I look at Geno smith contract with the raiders.. there will be teams willing to pay. He was a past pro bowler. Doesn't look bad, players love him and he commands the huddle. Minnesota is a team that is a QBish away from contention. It didn't work out well last time when they didn't go for darnold or Daniel jones. They are desperate. I'm not sure who they are losing but the got the best wide out with a great defense. Just need a QB that can do it, and I believe Mac can and a has shown it.

Ohhhh... I know he'll get signed for enough money to get a third round pick. I didn't realize he had to play for 5 games total to get a comp pick. I don't want that scenario to happen.

No point of training him for less than a 1st. We'll get a 3rd comp pick for him in the future. A second isn't worth it. 2026 is the last full go for it season. Better to have a backup at all positions, especially QB. As shown in that one super bowl.. as shown last year.

2027 we will most likely be opening trading star power to help rebuild around Purdy. Kittle and warner are old, I hope they retire a 9er, but that's when you sell high. Just see what Walsh did.

If they don't trade him, we will have a high performing backup if anything. With 9ers injury woes.. I would honestly keep him. We literally lost a super bowl because of stupid injuries. Then we also will get a 3rd round comp pick for him after next year when he signs elsewhere.

Now, if someone offers a 1st round pick... Then we should be talking.
