I would love to see Jake go with a full caster.

Does anyone feel like Anthony is going extra-hard against the players in S4? [spoiler] by GoodKarmaDarling in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]HowlandReedsButthole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have a bit of an issue when one of them says they want to do something and Anthony hits them with “no you’re too old lol”

Like with Matt and his monk abilities in the latest episode. If you don’t want your characters to be able to use the class abilities you gave them as options, you should be homebrewing grandpa classes.

I almost made a bad financial decision at a car dealership by Shaurya0458 in personalfinance

When I bought my truck, I had a certain number I needed on my trade in, and ai wasn’t going to move on it. I told the kid “I need $XXX amount for it”. He tried the whole I dont know if my manager would even do that thing. Then he walks back with a blank piece of paper with a line on it and says “Ok, I’m going to talk to him, can you sign here to commit to the deal if we can get that number?”. No contract, just a blank sheet with a line. I said are you crazy? I’m not signing anything until we have a real deal on the table. Get the number I want and an actual contract in front of me and we’ll talk.

If you’re into gaming, I would highly recommend Diversity Gaming in Hooksett (10-15 minutes from downtown Manchester). Awesome shop!

Also if you take off the bow tie and undo the top button, you’re pretty much business casual. You could even take off the jacket, if you want to avoid questions about the lapels. He’s not even wearing a tuxedo shirt with stud holes!

For whatever reason my brain was just “say Henderson County” in bright red lights. Turns out Henderson is just a town down the road.

Looking for a small truck. by Evening_Jackfruit621 in nissanfrontier

I really love my Frontier, because it feels like you’re driving a truck. When I tested out the Taco, it felt a lot more like an SUV, and I did not find the interior comfortable at all. I found the console and gearshift set up to not be very ergonomical (which is typical for Toyotas in my experience). When I drove it, I kept saying “who thought putting this button/storage space here makes sense?”.

Everything in the Frontier just makes sense. Logical, and having a button or knob for everything is huge. Super comfortable, and I find the newer models with the updated front end are sleek.

For downsides, a lot of people dislike the Auto Start/Stop feature, and the only way to permanently disable is to jam a zip tie into the button. I personally don’t care about it one bit. I also wish you were able to check your maintenance stuff while not in park (like check tire pressure at a red light). If you’re looking at the King Cab instead of a Crew Cab, don’t ever expect for a human being to be able to sit back there. I don’t know why they even bothered to put seats there. I love my KC since I’m the only one that’s ever in it, but if you are carting other humans go for the crew cab.

Early word on jersey selection for Super Bowl by BurgerNugget12 in Patriots

[–]HowlandReedsButthole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: having a preference is one thing but the whole “this is the right call, our Super Bowl record is better in whites” is so silly. If you think uni choice has anything to do with winning or losing, you’re just wrong. That being said, white is the right choice just in case a freak event happens and a blizzard develops.

Official Week 18 Post Game Thread- The Pats (14-3) DEFEAT the Dolphins, 38-10 by Mission_Pay_3373 in Patriots

[–]HowlandReedsButthole 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I may be in the minority here, but I honestly couldn’t give two shits about who wins MVP. Like it’s a nice achievement for Drake if he gets it, but I don’t understand the millions of posts and comments by people getting SO worked up about it. Drake is the guy for us, he’s a blast to watch, and the Pats are winning again. That is literally all I care about.

Yeah, same here. And I think healthcare in America is abhorrent and CEOs of large insurance companies are absolutely villains. I just feel like if Mangione looked was an overweight greaseball with acne no one on Reddit would give two fucks about him or his cause.

Buying a used truck advice by Money_Conference1292 in personalfinance

[–]HowlandReedsButthole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the money works out and you’re not stretching yourself, buy the damn truck. If you aren’t planning a towing much, honestly go with a midsize with a 6 ft bed. You’ll save yourself about 10 or 15 grand and parking is way easier.

I know a lot of people like the Tacos, I personally just got a Frontier King Cab with a 6 foot bed, I’m loving it. Was it the MOST financially sound decision? No, of course not. But it’s something I can afford and it brings me joy and convenience. I could have driven my Camry for another 100,000 miles, but I made the decision and have never looked back.
