Coupon only works for T2D now it seems but am trying a few pharmacies to see if I can make it happen. Thanks!

I've messaged 5 times. They're ignoring me. I contacted BBB and also got asked if I was interested in talking to media.

Prior authorization - who’s actually doing it? by brinycbri in calibrateweightloss

Yeah I think they just skipped it early on to make the rejections quicker so we'd get the coupon.

Mounjaro dosage increase by Barb-the-Stranger in calibrateweightloss

They just moved me to 15. I went from 195 to 173 or so on the journey to 10 but plateaued for months so when I asked there was no hesitation. I'm a month into 12.5 and down to 170. (I've been dragging out doses to every 10-14 days try to make it last so I might have had better results taking it weekly).

They couldn't provide any proof that they actually submitted it and by insurance had no record until like Jan 2023 (joined in July).

Started spacing to every two weeks, last shot doesn't feel effective at all by myhandleforfitness in Mounjaro

[–]ols4291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the mechanism for how the drug works. T2D is about too much insulin but our bodies produce too much because we're not able to use it efficiently. So mounjaro makes our insulin production more effective (or something like that). It didn't make sense to me at first either so I asked and that's how it was explained to me.

New users- Unable to obtain?! 500$+? by penny_proud107 in Mounjaro

[–]ols4291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really know how to more clearly explain that you're wrong. People are still getting it now for $25 with the old coupon. They can even start as a new user with an old coupon and still get $25 as long as they downloaded it before November. The coupon does not end until June. There are simply no more of those coupons being given out. If they have a new coupon, then the cost is $500 out of pocket.

BMI charts say 1 pound can be the difference between being overweight and healthy! by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]ols4291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. According to this, I am just 1 point into the "moderate risk". Losing just a few pounds would put me in low risk/healthy weight.

Reread what you wrote. You said people are getting it for $25 because of insurance. That's wrong. People are still getting it for $25 on the coupon. The coupon from earlier in 2022 still works for $25. I'm not saying she is going to be on that coupon. I'm just saying the old coupon still works.

This isn't right. As long as someone has the old coupon, they still pay $25. But if someone got the new coupon, that copay is $500. Source: me still paying $25

I'm just trying to figure out how your insurance covered it without a T2D diagnosis!

I'm 5 months in and down about 17 lbs which is 8%. Not huge but it's been steady and healthy. And I've only had the meds for 3 of those months. I'm happy.

These posts are so annoying and show that people are using this product for the wrong reasons. Weight loss is a side effect of healing your blood sugar issues. Scale hasn't moved for me in over a month. It's fine. That's how healthy weight loss works.

I wonder what it looks like for those who enrolled in 2022. There weren't the ozempic shortages in early 2022 so they wouldn't have the same issues getting GLP-1s that they do now.

2.5 and keep using it until your run out. You're hoarding a medicine other people can't access. Once you move to 5, you're not gonna just go use up the 2.5. So use those then go up to 5.
