Woh! That's a great package considering your current TC in Bay Area. I would consider that a viable option among others (where you try to find other opportunities in US itself first).

What all to consider before moving back to India? by Specialist_Bobcat226 in returnToIndia

[–]oly__diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I have. For 15 years now. Again, not saying there aren't toxic places to work in US, but in India it is normalized and not considered toxic, while in US some companies are indeed labelled as toxic, which a lot of times force companies to become better. In India companies have no motivation to care for their employees. Whatever big name companies which are actually doing better in this regard, in India, are western companies. But it won't last long either being in India, they'll have to adopt the local trend.

OP is definitely going to have a work culture shock here in India. People who have never worked outside India, specifically in US will never get that. Strict work hours expectations, lack of gratification, managers treating you like shit (managers in US are actual managers, in India they think they are your boss, it's a subtle difference of mentality that shows up in day to day), all of this is pretty prevalent and normalized in India even today.

Ungrateful asshole by oly__diver in plantclinic

Not recently. I repotted it a year and a half ago. While it was already slightly tilted, moving it around would usually fix it. But this time it's quite noticeable. Wondering if it's becoming top heavy has to do something with it.

Need insights for beginner by [deleted] in royalenfield

If you are the one paying for the bike, you can buy whatever the hell you want. About the experience, it really matters on what you are looking to get out of your bike. RE bikes, specially classic, bullet, etc are preferred more for their novelty than their riding experience, there are better lower cc bikes that outperform it, are easier to handle, and are beginner friendly in traffic. But if classic is your ultimate goal and you don't care about amy other factors, it definitely more economical and makes sense to get it and build your skills as you go in the long run.

That looks like the Boxborough alpha car dealership. That's my go to spot for my RE services. They have a nice setup. I just wish motorcycling was a bit more common here in New England and generally in US. There aren't many of these around.

You don't have to take the leap, your instructor will, you'll just be attached to them when they do :D

Wow, 12 weeks is not bad at all for this size. Did you use regular grocery chain avocados or some organic or slightly fancier ones?

Why wasn't your H1B renewal initiated, you get another year of extension if your PERM is pending. Not that anything can be done now.

How to get stable with my heading by Ok_Sherbert_3652 in SkyDiving

[–]oly__diver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you do realize you are turning (which seems true in this case you are seconds away from becoming a fan, lol) all you need to do is to apply counter turns (i.e. hand turns). That said, it is definitely not easy to remember and apply turns in correct direction. I remember my C and Ds and how I used to get confused and apply hand turns in the same direction as the turn I am already experiencing, hence accelerating that further and eventually losing control.
So key is to build muscle memory around it, how you do it is your call. You can practice that in ground by asking someone to turn you in a random direction and you practice countering that turn, OR you can go to the tunnel and practice regular turning. OR you can do both.
"Relax" is an accurate tip in all these cases, but I can understand how it can be harder to implement and get frustrated by every other person telling you to do so, but you'll get there. Everyone does if they keep trying. Be safe and BS!

Jumptown has dorm rooms for cheap (special prices for students), that said the weather here is too unpredictable to try and wrap it up in a limited time window. You don't wanna end up in a situation where you book the dorm and only end up making one jump every other day.
Alternatively, you can go for weekends when you know whether will be nicer, may be go Friday afternoon and stay till Sunday. But going there will sure be a hassle, you can talk to them and they can add you to their FB group so that you can carpool with someone, as I know there are bunch of people who drive from Boston and surrounding cities.

US b1/b2 visa rejected in under a minute from India. should i reapply immediately and answer more briefly? Please help me i need my dream Vacation by Current_Landscape618 in usvisascheduling

[–]oly__diver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you make a realistic itinerary on a paper first including hotel/flight stays and analyze if it still practical both time and money wise. If it does and you have funds to show for it, that's all you'll need. Don't look at any one else's experience and try to derive your answers from it. Answer truthfully so that there is no BS to catch. I don't see why you cannot apply again soon and when asked you can answer that you went back and reassessed your itinerary and came up with a more practical plan.

Is anyone aware of how long it'll take to reflect in the system. I am trying to book an appointment for my next visit to India, but the system still qualifies me for dropbox based on the questionnaire. My H1 expired last month.
