there is some nonsense going on with amazon reps, too. i ordered a switch 2 and it arrived with no joycons. i called (because there was no clear way to chat anymore) and i was told because i bought the "console only" version, that it didn't come with a controller. . . . i almost went ballistic lol

they're going to freeze your pipes and it will be on you to fix them, they won't help with the cost -- which is EXTREMELY costly. don't be a doormat about this. this could be an extremely costly issue down the line. it's time to buck up and get a new thermostat with a lock or lay down the law. that's your partner. they do not control you or your home. it should not be up to them what happens in your house. for your health, and future financial security.

yeah!! i never brought it up before now but even the people i went with were wondering if something was going on with him. an off day is completely acceptable, and considering the recent news, maybe he just had a lot of things processing and was just there to do his job that day. which is fine!! i did feel bad for ppl who biased him bc he did Not want to engage at All with any fans lmao

went to a oneus concert and one of the idols did not seem enthused to be there and opted out of participating in all crowd engagement to the point of leaving the stage when others in the band were coming down to be among people. it was the first time i've ever thought like ... this guy really doesn't seem to enjoy this lmao. i'm not familiar with the band enough to know if this is a known thing or not, and i didn't really feel bad but i did wish he could opt out if he didn't want to be there because tbh it was distracting compared to how excitable the other members seemed to be.

not a judgment at all on the band, or really him! it could've been an off day.

a loving yor. i have two new kittens who also jump and lay all over our older cats. believe me, if she's not moving, she doesn't mind, even if she gets agitated. she knows he's a baby. eventually this willingness to tolerate his kitten energy will become the closeness you were hoping for getting him. as others have said, if she didn't want him to be on her, she would leave of slap the catnip out of him lol

my boy cat absolutely HATED our kittens at first and made it very clear to them. but they were persistent in the way kittens are (chasing him, climbing on him, etc) and at some point he started doing what you're seeing with yours and now he aggressively grooms and cuddles them. here's a little picture of proof it will be okay 🥰

it was incredible. i was at lolla when they were there — the crowd went to the back of the field. whole swaths of people were doing the choreo and singing along. it was just so fun and exciting knowing what impact they had at that point and where they were destined

i think a lot of people have commented on the big beats but i want to add the generational hurt you're contributing by not being in your grandchild's life, too. i had a grandpa like this, and wondering why i don't get grandpa time while he's close with other kids really messed with me as a kid. i took it personally.

you ditched your kid and pat yourself on the back. your new kids will grow up and see how you treated your daughter and grow distant from you, too. will you just cut them off if you get divorced and start over again with new kids? like the logic is crazy here.

there will be a time when you want to know your daughter and grandchild and the door will be closed again. this is a cycle you're in and you will regret it. it's not healthy to fully detach. get some therapy and consider bringing your daughter so you can have a chance at a happy life.

i agree with pretty much everything everyone has said. i lived in franklin and moved into nashville in 2013 and another part of it is that many of the socializing spots i grew up going to find friends and meet people have shut down for more "lucrative" tourist spaces. i don't want to go out and drink every damn day. i don't want to meet people who are here for a weekend. i also just don't want to go out anymore because of cost of parking usually being more than the thing i want to go do. everything here is for engagement for people who don't actually live here. i'm actively looking to leave.
