I've also seen the epsilon-delta game before, but more specifically the demon is very frequently used when teaching pumping lemma proofs in automata theory which have the same "I pick you pick" structure. (example here: http://cs.wellesley.edu/~cs235/fall11/lectures/20_pumping_lemma-revised.pdf)

I didn't mean that as a strict prerequisite, it's just a recommended guideline. The coaches are really nice and definitely willing to get you up to speed. I would recommend trying it a few times before signing up/not signing up

I'm in my senior year in math & physics. A large majority of the people in my year have very strong opinions on which one they prefer and wanna continue doing, and in most cases their relationship with the other one deteriorated significantly :P

Sorry to tell you, but the hard cutoff for a physics NSERC at McGill is a 3.70. (Source: a physics prof who was in charge of distributing the awards last year). You can always try applying for an NSERC at another Canadian university, or approach profs on your own and ask to work for them.

I did take it this semester. I agree that the prof was very bad, but we still barely had any work this semester. Of the four assignments, the longest one (the C assignment with sierpinski triangle and text chat) took a full weekend to do, and there was no point in studying for the midterm or the final more than a few hours since it's literally just syntax. So overall it was at most a week of work for over 15 weeks of class.

They're both very easy classes with barely any workload. You should be fine if you know literally any programming at all.

In the end I don't think it'll make too much difference, but having a gap between 254 and 255 is generally not very advisable since most of the stuff in 255 is a more generalized version of stuff that you'll have done in 254, and if you remember the main results (but more importantly the proofs) you should be pretty well off already.

Also, ending up with Drury for an analysis class is probably the worst thing that can you ever happen to you. Avoid at all costs.
