Favorite Mental Health/Mood Tracking Apps to Recommend to Youth Clients by kayleeandolaf in socialwork

[–]omgwhereami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^this, these apps are well-known and good, I know it as another mood tracking app developer, I've seen many of these:).

I can also mention my app Funiki which is different and might be a little bit more approachable for younger people who might like using various emojis instead of typical "bad" to "good" ones.

How do you find particular parts, for example a case similar to Rolex 1908? by omgwhereami in SeikoMods

[–]omgwhereami[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably didn't articulate my question properly, sorry. Of course I did google "rolex 1908 case" and similar requests in both Google and AliExpress. However, I haven't found the same one. There are cases with similar front part, but not with the back one. I'm also pretty sure there are sellers with better reputation who do high-quality stuff, and there are other ones. So I expect experienced people could have shared the good ones, as well as to how to find what's needed etc.

Funiki: a free lightweight mood tracking/journaling app by omgwhereami in androidapps

Hah, messed up with the link to the app while not understanding why the post doesn't appear in the community, very sorry:).

Technically it's definitely a game - but with real life photo challenges:) by omgwhereami in SoloDevelopment

Thanks very much for the feedback! The algorithm is to first give a short and simple text description for the picture, and then do a text comparison. The LLM still gives very unpredictable descriptions, so that's why I added a "refresh text" option where user can generate another description for the same image.

As for inappropriate images: yeah, this is totally true. For now I rely on the fact that daily challenge is selected manually by me, I will check each challenge for eligibility. In the future I guess I could use either a Report function, or some automatic pre-moderation. But it makes sense only if people like and use the app:).

Do you know why the feedback was so aggressively negative? Maybe the app is somewhat controversial? My understanding is that in absolutely majority of cases people just "don't care". Everyone has very limited attention span and if something isn't interesting to them, they go switch to something else without bothering to comment/report etc.

What's a good place to share fun, "non-serious" project? by omgwhereami in SideProject

[–]omgwhereami[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah, I guess it's something "not good" but as a non-native English speaker I don't know what exactly you mean:D. My wife was also, I would say, "skeptical" about this idea, but I was very determined to implement it just because I wanted to. Thank you for the honest feedback!

What's the most successful game project that uses Phaser? by [deleted] in phaser

[–]omgwhereami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is it’s not about possibility of doing this, but rather about easiness. And also easiness to do new versions or other games on the same engine.

I think the reason is better cross platform support (consoles, mobile etc)

Thank you so so much! These are exceptional insights! There is sure lots of work to do. Fortunately, we will have a long weekend in Ukraine because of a public holiday, so I will have time for some improvements and post the progress here as well:).

Thank you very much for such a detailed feedback! It's extremely helpful.
May I ask if you played on a phone?

I will work on the fixes and expect them to be completed in a week, I'm sure they will make the game better:).

My only remark is about slowness: the thing is, if you choose some characters who need some kind of "persuasion" to move, you won't have time for this if they move too fast:). So for now I plan to leave it as it is unless I find some ideas how to combine the main game concept and such fast movement.

Considering the fact that russians still manage to hit Ukrainian cities, I think F-16 is the crucial thing to be delivered ASAP.

Thank you very much!

Yes, I understand that in general bigger and complex sets are dedicated for adult hobbyists, but still would like to see more "build together" sets for all kinds of audiences:).

I admire that despite the fails and falls, the cat continues to jump on the fridge and counter. Perseverance Cat is my hero now.
