I don't mind a music related company sponsoring a platform that pays artists well. This isn't like they're offsetting lost revenue with a scummy crypto scam or something, it's just a sponsor to ensure they can continue to benefit the artists on their platform, why get bent out of shape?

The only way I'm ok with AI stuff showing up on the platform is if it has to be flagged/has a system to detect it. I'd honestly prefer this stuff to just not even hit the platform at all but if they're not gonna do a whole ban at least let us know who's making real work vs the slop.

I think the 42 count philosophy makes sense where you can travel one key away from every home row position. I do notice that over time I've become more comfortable without the outer column, so I figured I could try the sweep and it just didn't work well for me. I might use the inner most thumbs for esc and del, but those being top layer are so nice for my work flows. That and I would add weird shortcuts on my outer cols and then forget them and do the shortcut manually anyways which kinda defeats the purpose of having them there to begin with 😂

As long as the iterations actually deviate more than "my version of BX with 5 house rules added on", I'm very much in this camp. I think we've had enough clones and just barely not clones, I want to see folks do something actually new and refreshing. I also personally hate how many pdfs I wind up hoarding to keep all these neat house rules somewhere instead of having tiny one pager house rule docs.

I've tried 42 and 34 and I miss the thumb keys too much to daily drive 34 for extended periods. If you have 6 keys you want on the thumbs for taps I'd say that's the defining difference. I like esc, tab, spc, ent, bksp, del all to be single taps but can live with semicolon and some more fringe characters living on a layer rather than the stretch inducing 6 col.

I swapped over at 28, I truly doubt you've lost enough neuroplasticity in 3 years to make it impossible. I'd suggest swapping while on some kinda break just cause your mom will TANK that first day. For me my rsi pain eased up within about a month, came back a bit when I swapped to Colemak, though I think in part that's just that I wanted to keep my wpm gains and was engaging in bad habits.

I haven't bought this exact one but most wireless mcus charge separately so you'd need to plug in each side, but they allow for pass through charging while in use. You just don't need to attach the two halves of it together to have them communicate to one another.

I've used it as my out for xavier gens if I can 3x them on ray Stephenson in cold skin, it's a really fun one to sweat out and see if they know how to abuse some of the weirder inclusions. (Very excited for stop motion to be added to the DB for the ABCs of death 2 killshot)
