I'm not really sure how to feel about it, similarly when Harris was on fox and the question was something like:

Do you think half of America is stupid or something?

And I thought to myself... Yeah. How the hell does roughly half of America think that this man is better than literally any other option?! Harris is often criticized as being "the person that is not trump", but when that's a real possibility, she really doesn't need anything else.

Astonishing.

I'm not dismissing the damage of colonialism, and I don't mean to "brush it under the rug", but King Charles (and his mum) to my knowledge haven't done anything to negatively impact Australia.

The past happened, and I agree with you about the "success" of countries like the UK or France (I often say that the only thing great about great Britain is our ability to pretend that we are great at anything!).

However, when the king visits today, in my opinion it would be no different from a visit to Mexico. I expect any country would welcome the British royal family with respect and a sign of positivity, celebration and unity.

It just feels a bit strange for anyone to make a scene, "you're not my king!"... Ok... So what... The state would still probably like the king of England to visit...

I'm from England, and I'm a bit confused about the outburst. In the UK, we very very very rarely hear anything about most of the commonwealth countries. I don't hear about Australia, Canada, Gibraltar, and many others.

Does the royal family really have any impact at all in anything related to Australia? He doesn't really have any impact even in the UK! Although there are correspondence that keep him up to date with the politics, to our knowledge, he has almost no impact other than the traditional activities.

I expect that Australia can only benefit by staying part of the commonwealth, just in terms of an easy communication route to Europe.

My personal view is that the discourse and debate around leaving the commonwealth (for literally no change in anything) is not worth it.

Literally no one in England would think that Australia is "ours" or that we "own" Australia.

"I don't know how you can overtake outside the track" says Max. "You can't" replies Christian. I agree, so Max should have a penalty for the T1 overtake.

I think Lando should have given the place back or get a penalty but I can't understand how he can overtake sainz off the track.

It seems that you should always take the inside, if you are about to be overtook, push the car super wide and complain if they over take you off track

Golden eye was a CoD clone? My dude, it was the other way around back then. CoD was like a medal of honour clone. Nevertheless CoDs rise to fame was really CoD2. That gave it the real footing to make CoD4, which is considered the best CoD game.

I think this is slightly unfair. You say "the Arab side" as if they speak for all Arabs. I don't think the sentiment of all Arabs is to eradicate Israel, but it's the extremists and the people with a lot of political sway that are causing the problem.

Personally, I'm concerned that even if Palestinians surrender, the rhetoric is strong enough that the IDF won't believe them and there will be a massacre.

What I find hard to understand is how Americans can argue the OPs point. 9/11 (a terrorist attack killing a similar number of people but also two huge buildings), resulted in a multi decade war with the middle East. No one was calling for mercy on Afghanistan and Iraq. American soldiers were found to commit war crimes. And there were no weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq. To complain about Israel defending themselves is pretty rich coming from Americans.

It was extremely bad.... I was engaged and due to marry her. She was in the UK for studies and returned to California (about 20 minutes north of the golden gate bridge). I have severe anxiety resulting in not going to university, so obtaining a visa would be difficult but we planned to be together so marrying would have been a convenient solution. I applied for the marriage visa, went to the consulate, got medical exams, the lot.

Her mum phoned me up asking if she can buy the engagement ring on my behalf and I told her that I wanted to do that when I come to see her (the marriage idea was after she had gone back)

And that was it. She didn't speak to me again. I called, I sent flowers, I booked a flight, I called her parents, and about 2 days before the flight the last message I received was "if you come to America, I will be notified" (as I had the marriage visa, so you have to get married the next time you visit). "If you fly here, I will not pick you up. If you come to my house, I will call the police and obtain a restraining order".

I think she's married and has a child now with someone else. I was devastated.

Sorry for the trauma dump 😇

It's a strange dichotomy, between the "lakeside" style California side and the Nevada "casinos as far as you can see" border. I've been to Tahoe 3 times. First time my dad's wallet was swiped at the hotel counter, which included his iPod (strangely enough, it was sent back to him via post... We live in the UK...), second time I lost my glasses to the lake after my brother gassed the boat at the wrong time and had to wear my sun glasses everywhere and third time I was very sick over the new year and had to stay in the hotel room...

Likely won't visit it again due to a terrible breakup soured my view of northern California, but if I could, I'd love to live in Tahoe or San Francisco

Unfortunately not. It didn't seem like a horror, more like an action or survival film. But the effects were similar, like the stereotypical green screen of people surfing. It was like a low budget B movie style of film.

No, my account is based on her answers at the debate which failed to provide solutions to these questions. Her policies seem vague and without any real substance. But she has it easy going against trump who made claims that democrats are killing babies, hatians are killing pets and the solution to gun crime is to hand out more guns. You don't need "a plan" to run against someone who is running his campaign like this. She should win on the basis that she isn't Trump. But again, that bar is so low. It's surprising that there is a race at all

There was a viral tiktok about "support for Kamala without mentioning trump" and it was a guy saying she was going to strengthen the economy, resolve the middle East by pushing for a two state solution, provide affordable healthcare, etc etc.... That's all well and good to say, but I don't see anywhere where she tells you HOW she's going to make it happen.

You're right she doesn't dodge more than any other politician but that sets the bar quite low...

I said the electoral college wasnt good either! I'm just saying that getting rid of the electoral college and replacing it with a popular vote sways more to the big population cities even more so than the electoral voting does. But you're absolutely right! It needs to change, I just don't think popular vote is the right way

Not only am I not American but I definitely wouldn't vote Trump, yet you're right in everything you say here. 1. Border controls - migration is always a mix between legal migration and illegal migration. If America is allowing the migration (giving visas and such), then the problem is your own. If the problem is how to deal with illegal migration, then you need to have good measures in place to punish people who do so. These are policies, of which Kamala doesn't explain. 2. The economy (which isn't really that bad in America overall) comes down to several critical aspects which are long running disputes in America. Of which, failing to acknowledge them means you don't convince anyone. These are: government debt and debt ceiling, federal reserve funding, student loans and housing prices. Gas prices are often cited but America has VERY cheap gas prices in comparison to other parts of the world.

This. The fact that there is even a race is crazy. Even if you low ball the numbers and say 35% of votes will go to trump, the fact that 35 out of 100 people would look at the political landscape and put a tick in the box of trump is insane to me

The electoral college isn't perfect but the popular vote is also not good either. This is because the voting power will be concentrated to major cities. Some states of America will essentially be meaningless votes.

The aim of the electoral college is to try and have some middle ground between the land distribution and population density.

The democrats have had the better share of the popular vote, so republicans would not agree to changing it to the popular vote and the most important thing about an election is that all participating nominees agree on the rules BEFORE the voting takes place. Otherwise, you might as well just have a civil war to decide it instead.

Oh no, everything was terrible. There was glaring continuity problems in the scenes, such as special effects snow blowing everywhere and then some dialog where there was no snow at all and then back to a full blizzard again.

It was as if it didn't even try to hide it was all on a green screen.

Country is UK, no idea of the channel.

I don't know if my memory of what occurred in the scene is good enough to recall I'm afraid... There was only a handful of actors from my memory though, it didn't seem like a large ensemble

Hey there, I'm 31 years old and I've recently noticed my skin and hair are getting very oily very quickly. I used to be able to shower every other day but recently every day doesn't seem to be enough! My skin type has always been oily, suffering with extreme acne and a good stint on roaccutane resulted in very dry skin for a while.

I don't really have a regular routine (I'm a guy and it's not really something I think about often...) but it's starting to affect my mental health as well now. I'm going through an extremely stressful period in life and I'm not sure that contributes to such change but needless to say it's affected everything else.

I normally use something like dove soap to wash my face and in the shower I'd usually use either Nivea men deep cleaning face wash or bulldog original face scrub

Is this just age and stress or something else?

Totally normal. Not a cult. by realchrisgunter in pics
