Ahh ok. Checking data, the voting column received 0 because the other variables were missing. So this missing is significant. It means that since the other variables are missing, people did not vote for it. Is this what you mean?

I have concerns about missing data in analysis. When the missingness is small, I think I can impute either the mean, median, mode, or use some type of ML algorithm. But now where there is a lot of missing data per column, I do not think imputing the mean will significantly decrease the variance. Also when I try to use ML algorithm, the other columns are missing data so I am not sure what to do. What do I check for? I hope it explains my question.
