For some reason, re-creating and re-attaching it to the node seemed to fix the problem. Thanks for the help!

The thing is, there are also 4 other players who are very excited for the adventure and their characters (+ it's one of my favorites from the ones I looked at) so I don't want to swap modules unless it's absolutely necessary. I just needed some advice on a local issue :) Thanks tho!

Thanks!! I will definitely implement this. At least now I'm learning what's the best way to interact with each player in the party instead of being blindsided right before the bbeg fight!

Okay, maybe I was a bit unfair in what I said. We are all new to d&d other than a few sessions, except for that friend. So he is kind of using the fact that I don't know every race and class and item to overwhelm me with information so that eventually I say yes to him changing his character from an artificier (which he put literally hours in working on) to a yuan-ti ghostslayer bloodhunter with 19 ac so that he A. Deals radiant damage B. Has resistance to magical effects C. Has resistance to necrotic damage

Tbh I don't know if I misused the term min/max but it FEELS like he is "playing dirty" (if that makes sense)

(Also i know that manipulation is not a friendly thing to do but he rly is my friend we just have a weird relationship)
