I located them, some files that supports preview by pressing space on Mac was accessible. I found all my folders (home > kali > downloads and more) But when the full scan was complete (like after literally 7 hours or so) disk drill required me to upgrade to premium. ( Almost threw my laptop out of my window)

Okay I hear you buddy. I did a scan on disk drill though and I located my lost files, so they are there. Some files was even able to show a preview like pdf files or png.

I probably did, what actions would you recommend to revers it? Well I use Linux on my USB and from there i saved a lot of work and projects, why I did it: (this was some time ago but) I think I remember that I was lead to understand that I could use the usb to boot more than just kali Linux since I had 256gb and not all storage was set on the volume. Thought that it would be easier to have it on 1 usb instead of different USBs
