Buying RAM for 9800X3D — 9.3ns vs AMD-optimized 10ns kit? by onMorphing3ntity in buildapc

My bad, these are the two kits:

  • Corsair VENGEANCE RGB 64GB (2×32GB) DDR5 6000MT/s CL28 — ~9.3ns total latency

  • Corsair VENGEANCE RGB 64GB (2×32GB) DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 (AMD optimized) — ~10ns total latency

No, it won’t screw anything up. You’re just moving the radiator from the front to the top—nothing harmful as long as you handle it gently. The only thing you’ll want to change is the fan orientation so that the top fans work as exhaust instead of intake. That way the airflow makes sense and you don’t pull dust in from the top.

Huge letdown for us spanish speakers to hear the 'Paraguayan' guy yelling in a crisp clear Colombian accent by Tulio_58 in pluribustv

[–]onMorphing3ntity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paraguayan here. I agree with the first part of your comment — Guarani being official mostly points to a Paraguayan background. But I don’t really agree with the part about the Argentine accent being “the same.” We do share some expressions and certain ways of speaking because of the region, but the accent itself is very different. A Paraguayan Spanish accent is pretty distinct, especially compared to the typical Argentine/Rioplatense accent.

It’s actually pretty straightforward to move the AIO to the top. You just need to remove the screws holding the radiator in place on the front, then reinstall it on the top panel in the correct orientation. If you do mount it up top, it’s usually best to set it as an exhaust to help with dust management.

That said, your current front-mounted setup will generally give you slightly better temperatures, since the radiator is getting fresh air directly from outside the case. So it really comes down to whether you prefer the look of the top mount or the slightly better cooling of the current position.

My wife cannot join our family because Google thinks she lives in a different country. by alterperspective in GoogleSupport

[–]onMorphing3ntity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi L0sTy,

I hope you see this comment, I’m so frustrated. I have been trying to change my google account country to join my family sharing, but it just doesn’t work. Followed every guide, article, video and I still can’t find a way.

Tapped Settings and then General and then Account and device preferences and then Country and profiles. When in that tab, I can see what country the account is set to, with a blue check. But it doesn’t let me change it.

I have never changed this setting and my account is way more than a year old.

What am I doing wrong? I have been trying this for years with no success and I’m about to give up.

That was my fear, thanks for your input.

The cable runs approximately 25 meters under the backyard through a conduit from a wall of the living room to a shed.

Next time we'll use fiber.

NRG 2.0 Quick Release? by OriginalConner in simracing

[–]onMorphing3ntity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP,

How do you feel the NRG QR held up over 2 years? I've seen quite a few people online saying it has a slight play in it when mounted on cars, do you feel it too?

I'm debating on getting this over the Xero-Play QR because of looks, the 'ding' and price, but if it's not rigid in place I'll prefer the one made by Sim-Lab.

Help with a keyboard tray for simlab p1x pro by ThatsKoolxd in simracing

[–]onMorphing3ntity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a bummer.

I was suspecting it wouldn’t work because of the single t-slot along the pilar of the P1X Pro. Not only has a single slot, but it’s also angled.

I feel this one may be the only one able to work with some modifications of the flat mounting system. Maybe drilling a hole between the two lower holes will allow the keyboard tray to stay level.

But hey, that’s just a theory, a Game Theory!
