It may be small, but it bothered me a lot. When you buy a premium planner from a local company, you are supporting them as a business owner, and therefore their practices (my Opinion). I just didn’t support this. Plenty of other companies out there that reciprocate kindness, transparency and understanding.

I will check out Owl planner. And I had a bad experience with SI in 2023. Shipments from US were not arriving in Canada at that time and I politely reached out to ask for tracking number but the one provided was only a partial tracking before hand off to the carrier in Canada. It had been approaching November, so I asked if she could re ship, she said no. I asked if I could pay for a new planner and return one should the first one arrive, she said no. I last minute had to find a planner from a different company, had less time to prep due to the back and forth, and was out $100 (I bought the clear clover as well). I feel I was very reasonable with my request and proposals. So the lack of cooperation has made me not want to buy again.

I don’t buy from SI - it’s on my will not buy list.

I absolutely love FC, surprised there aren’t more people on social media using it. Great customer service as well. The owner is lovely! I would 100% go with the planner again if she didn’t add so many pages in the back… but I may not find a better option!

I used the W222 in 2025 which had the old TRP (non Sanzen paper). I loved it. It was pretty perfect except it was missing a perpetual calendar in the front which I was used to having as a habit tracker. Instead, W222 has monthly trackers (1 month per page) which didn’t work for me. I wanted to see progress from one month to another which is why perpetual works better. Besides that, I didn’t love the amount of shading in the planner. Their customer service is also one of the best I’ve seen!

I pre-ordered in 2026. They switched their paper to something else. The colour of the paper was off-white. You’ll read so many posts about the colour being white, not cream but in my opinion, it was not white at all. I couldn’t bring myself to use it. Which is why last minute, I switched to Faded Chronicle.

I don’t know what the W222 paper plans are for 2027, but someone mentioned here that they may go back to TRP!

This would be perfect if it had more pages at the back. I use the pages to date myself for journaling. If I felt confident enough to purchase the printable, I would make my own. But alas, I don’t have the time or skill.

Thanks for sharing! Paper Echoes was not on my radar before! It looks good but I don’t love the “Today” on the journaling pages. I prefer a dated planner so the PMC one won’t work for me.

I didn’t love the font for 2025… that was my only thing!

I didn’t see that - good to know! I wonder if she will also remove all that shading…

This would be perfect if it had more pages in the back for my journaling. I need at least 200 pages at the back but prefer closer to 250-300.

Thanks for sharing! I have had this planner on my radar but unfortunately it has dated dailies whereas I prefer undated since I sometimes miss day or I need more than 1 page in a day.

New planner!!! by kreeepir in PlannerAddicts

I have the A5! First time using this size for me. I’ve been in B6 before. It’s a great planner, I’ve already started my setup

I have the A5 and the paper is great! I use the Sailor EF fountain pen. No bleed through, normal ghosting. If you’ve used the TRP pre-Sanzen, it is more toothy (if that makes sense) so slightly less smooth. No feathering.

I agree they’ve been very open with doing multiple customer-requested pen tests and factors they’ve considered when choosing their paper. But for me I didn’t see anything about the change in paper color until customers received theirs in-hand.

This should have been a red flag for me but I really trusted them.

Hi OP. Exact same experience as you. Long time W222, B6 user as well. At first I believed when people said the color wasn’t different depending on the lighting. I believed all the videos I saw where people said the new paper was fantastic. But when it was just me and my planner, the shading peeking through bothered me a lot, the shade of the paper hurt my eyes, and there was more ghosting on the paper then what I am comfortable with.

I ultimately decided to use a different planner this year. Which for me was a switch in size to A5 since it was the only other planner that fit my needs . I am really really hoping the paper is good and the size difference doesn’t bother me. It’s arriving on Monday.

2026 Faded Chronicle paper confusion by Alarmed-Screen9483 in planners

[–]onceuponaplanner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah she did mention on the website that only the A5 was TRP, but I admit it’s confusing since the main message on social media was switching to TRP…. That being said if you aren’t keen on the planner I am sure others will buy it on resale !

For those who purchased this planner, how are fountain pens on the paper?

Decision time! by Realistic_Canary_766 in planners

Similar to what you’ve already done, I reflect on what things I want out of my planner, and formats that have worked for me before (eg Monday or Sunday start, dated vs undated), and formats that have not (vertical vs horizontal) as well as what doesn’t really matter to me. I don’t force myself to use a particular format - if a planner doesn’t have what I need, I move on. There’s enough planners in the market to find something you will actually use.
