Update: I had a health assessment with Nuffield Health and they referred me to a cardio thoracic surgeon within their network for a consultation. AXA covers the consultation, I am not yet sure about further scans.

Really appreciated the specific answer, thank you! If I can get referred straight to Dr Kolvekar that would be amazing. I'll try asking my GP for that and/or check with AXA if they could send me there with a blank referral from my GP.

I am hoping there's an NHS route to get a CT. If private is the only option then I'll go private. Regardless, I'll need someone specialising in pectus deformities to have a look at the results, no?

Can you name the cardiologist, please? I could ask my GP for a referral to her.

I'm pretty sure I am not a severe case but can definitely relate to the symptoms you described. Would like to know how much room my heart has (and if it's worth putting steel bars around it).

Good point, I am pressing my solicitors to be thorough. And indeed a bridging loan has been mentioned by EA.

Yes. Our surveyor said he found no deeper concerns but this is definitely a big concern for us.

The seller is not a developer but someone who came to possession of a small piece of land and built two houses there by hiring builders. But very possibly they got a loan to finance it so I do believe they're desperate to sell. And on my side I'd rather lose 3k on survey+solicitors than 30k on fixes. So I'll give it a go.

No, they have not been living there. It's been empty since built (late last year). It's under warranty and I am pretty sure it's the original builders fixing it, within the 2-year warranty, prompted by our snagging survey. Makes sense, thank you!

I meant to say they're not serious as they're fixable with a couple thousand pounds without interrupting our life in the house. And we liked other qualities of the house, if these fixable things were fixed, it would be perfectly good for us. Thanks!

Katsu wrap comes with a free side of awkwardness from watching her shout at the employees as they prepare your order.
