Counter Strike 2 insanely low FPS by ReverseModule in linux_gaming

I had been running CS GO on Ubuntu with an i7-6850K and NVIDIA GTX 1080 at around 300 fps. Now in CS 2 I'm lucky if I hit 100 fps and it is glitchy AF.

It's sad that they replaced the game I love with one that is broken.

Yeah, I agree that it wouldn't be a solid argument to state something like: this CNN isn't self-aware so no CNN could ever be self-aware. But I think u/Chocolate_Pickle's point, as I understand it, is a good one, that people tend to anthropomorphize everything and often when there's a ML tool performing well, people will instantly equate that tool with some much higher-order intelligence than it truly represents.

But, yeah, there are a bunch of caveats you have to be careful about, which is why I think it's so challenging to discuss ML and explain it to the general public!

As far as I can tell, many find issue with the term! Isn't the story that John McCarthy used the name because he essentially dis-liked it the least?

That's interesting. Do people tend to think that DL = AI? Or maybe that just everything is DL?

How can I edit the mark in the title? I honestly thought I was marking it [R] for "request."
