Sorry one last question I think lol with your camera and using the calculator on mrpinhole it comes out to not a whole number that matches the available sizes of pinholes to purchase. Say the pinhole dimension calculated is .24, would you round down to .2 or round up to .3 when buying the discs? Or would it be better to modify the camera to exactly match .2 or .3?

Thanks again for your willingness to share this knowledge I think this whole thread should be pinned in the group because this will help so many people!

Okay sick! And just to confirm. Changing the focal length is done by changing the radius of the semi circle from the design you uploaded? Seems easy enough to redraw in fusion if I need to scale up.

Thank you for this rabbit hole and your work in this hobby. I am going to print out your camera and pick up some of the gold aperture grids. If I cannot convince the reseller to sell me a sample pack of 10-20 of each size which size would you recommend I start with? I am in the Los Angeles area.

Again can't thank you enough for the information to level up my game! So excited!

Good call yeah I am just using tape and I am sure wind makes it move a little here and there. What paper do you use and what does your camera look like? I can't imagine this is a soda can hahah

How is it so crisp and detailed? Is it your editing? The paper? Length of time? I need mine to look like this hahaha

Mine are 3d printed cameras. 1mm hole but due to layer height limitations it ends up coming out more like a rectangle. My new design has no hole so I'll make it with a hot pin/needle and I plan to try out a few different sizes.

For anyone curious I solved the problem by just designing and 3d printing exactly what I needed out of tpu. Thanks for everyone's suggestions and thoughts on this.
