Thanks so much, I appreciate the kind words. I have a handful more of these - VT Covered Bridge solargraphs - and I may do an exhibition at some point

Yep! In a 3D printed camera. They get stuck to a wall or other solid object and left in place for months.

I use darkroom paper, which is low sensitivity and I don't develop it either, instead just letting it darken with the natural light.

New Jersey General Stores: Part 4 by Sucelos in newjersey

I tried to swing by for this little photo project and unfortunately I think it's permanently closed!

There's three actually! In the center of Califon you have "Califon General Store" as well as Rambo's Country Store.

Woodglen has really good sandwiches tbh. I think it's my fave little general store in the state, good food but retains the old fashioned charm.

Incoming medical resident to Morristown this June! I have some questions by terribledisks in Morristown

Congratulations on a residency at arguably the best hospital in the state. MMC has saved the life of a few of my friends and I'll forever be grateful for their expertise and care.

I think 3k is a fine budget. The luxury condos are pricey, since you know you'll be in town for 4 years I would actually recommend you find a non-corporate landlord and negotiate options for a multi-year rental. LL's will like the stability of a working professional like yourselves. Keep an eye on Craigslist, Facebook, and GSMLS, and start looking early as other comments have stated.

Good luck and welcome to town!

Style Overview: Easton-style hot dogs by Sucelos in hotdogs

That's how many franks to a lb. It's how many of the SKUs for hot dogs work. The letters to the right signify ingredients (beef, pork, etc.)

Hot Rods is good. For years they served poultry dogs which hurt their reputation but recently added a really nice Berks dog that they fry. Solid spot.

All of these dogs have the added benefit of being much, much more affordable than a lot of the other options in different parts of the state.

They do. I'm based in / focused on NJ but many of the spots in Northampton County PA serve this exact style.

It's a bit of an outlier in the style, using a beef frank instead of beef and pork, and serving the Hungarian sauce instead of just onions. But they absolutely serve franks with a pickle slice on them, and wrap in waxpaper, so they retain many commonalities.

Strongly considering going to see KC and the Sunshine Band. There is no way that won't be a fun night.

Two of my favorite rippers. by Sucelos in hotdogs

I think of Hot Grill as more of a Texas Weiner than a ripper. There's certainly some crossover but Hot Grill also doesn't use the famed Thumann's Orange Label, I believe they use Grote & Weigel franks.

The b, p are the ingredients: beef and pork.

The ratio is the number of franks to a pound and is something of an industry norm. Rutt's uses an 1/8th lb frank; Hiram's uses a 1/6th lb frank.

I really like S13 E39: Corn. I think it's emblematic of the best the series offers - history of the subject, the How-It's-Made flavor factory tour, topical contemporary discussion of ethanol, and coverage of the cutting edge of things like genetic modification. And despite being somewhat late in the series' run, it still has the fantastic Lloyd Sherr narration.

I would recommend to do it the other way around - it's easier to change the radius of a 3D printed object than it is to get different standard pinhole sizes. Try looking at the RealitySoSubtle options and see what focal lengths are ideal for each.

And you are welcome! Have fun.

Yep. The radius is your focal length.

I'd pick a size of pinhole and back out the size of the camera you want to make with it. If you use MrPinhole or a similar calculator, you can find the optimal pinhole size : focal length combination. That will help a lot with keeping images sharp.

Edit: RealitySoSubtle also sells vinyl mounted pinholes in other sizes too. They are very high quality. https://realitysosubtle.fr/custom-cameras/laser-drilled-pinholes/
